Hey, everyone! So I have a Mother-in-law's tongue named Shoeshine, Shoey for short (my dad named him lol), and am worried about a few of his leaves. I have him sat downstairs on the floor in a plastic pot far from the front door. But there are a few leaves that had to be trimmed down but are now browning at the tips, maybe an inch or two. Should I remove the leaves completely or is there something else I can do?
This plant - Pearl and Jade Pothos - is new to my office. I probably had a week here before I went out of town for a week. I watered it extra before I went out of town. Now it’s all sad! It had some crunchy leaves I cut off. I really have no sunlight. Artificial light mostly. If people across me have their doors open, it might get some light. It is still in the nursery pot inside the ceramic pot. Does it just want more light? Maybe it needed more water?
My Hoyas aren’t growing. I have two and they’ve basically stayed the same size since the day I bought them. I replanted both of them to more chunky soils, I followed the plant to advice on watering and they are both under a grow light for 12 hours a day. Could it be that since I live in a tropical environment the humidity which is normally in the 80s is too much for them? It’s like they are both in hibernation. Please help 🙏

Hi! Do you all mist your plants when Planta prompts you to? I’ve always heard that’s unnecessary. We do run a humidifier in the winter. If you do mist your plants, I appreciate any tips!
Any advice why my repotted African violet isn't do so well?
I’m so happy with how my oxalis is filling in. I got it from a local nursery for practically free at the end of October and was on a mission to rescue it. I cut her down completely and this is what she’s looking like as of yesterday. 🥳 I placed her in a south facing window sill and kept her watered and fertilized (HastaGro). She was sold as an oxalis triangularis so I’m hoping she goes back to fully purple as she matures.
Has anyone tried cloning paste aka node goop? I put it on a few plants today and I’m curious if anyone has had success with it
Help! He was going good until a week or so ago. Now he is very droopy. What am I doing wrong? He’s under a grow light w other plants.
For those of us that have a few of the bigger plants in those 8in, 10in, 12in+ pots, we know when we water them and let the water run through that they hold alot of water and seem to drip for forever. Sometimes I have to empty the drip tray 2 or 3 times so that they aren’t just sitting in water. Well after watering, I’ve started doing my drip trays this way, 1. Because the tray holds more water that way and 2. Because it’s easier to get the tray full of water picked up if you’re also not lifting a now fully watered heavy plant lol. Whenever it does stop dripping I put the tray back under the plant otherwise my dog thinks it’s another water bowl lol

New plant dad here. Just got an Aglaonema tri color pictum, is it normal for a little yellowing to occur on the leaves? (One was all yellow today so I pulled it off) Just got it a week ago, it’s about 30 inches under my grow light. A couple days after I got it, I bottom watered since the top 2 inches were dry. Let sit for 10 mins until the top soil got moist, and let the excess drain for 20 mins. Plant is in the same nursery pot I got it in, it has drainage holes on the bottom. Thanks

Just won this ✨ Calathea Roseopicta ✨ at plant bingo yesterday! Did some quick research and, NGL, she seems like a DIVA 😅 would love any tips and tricks to keep her happy from the start in her new home 🪴🏡 humidity and light seem to be primary concern. Appreciate ANY advice this community can share, I’m good with Succulents but less so with leafy plants. Thx!
I’m having trouble propagating my spider plant babies. Every time I move them to water, it will begin to grow roots and get bigger, but then the leaves will turn brown until it just dies. Do spider plants not do well in water?? What should I do?

anyone know why my pilea leaves are mushrooming like this instead of flat? She grows a lot but all the leaves look like this? she gets watered according to the plants app & gets southwest window sun. the window has a meshing over it so it’s bright indirect light
👋 Plant Newbie here! A tip I would like to share is for your water drip tray - if you ever (like me) accidentally overwater, then you can do this simple trick! Use a paper towel rolled up, stick one end in the water and the other draped over a collection device. If it reaches your paper towel, simply empty the cup and continue on until your water is at the desired amount! Hope this helps, it certainly helps me to not have to lift a heavy pot and risk dripping everywhere! 😁
