Hey guys i got this mixed plant arrangement as a gift, ive never gotten one before so i have no idea on what to do with it?? Do i keep it like this or separate them? I feel like it looks so good all together but i know they all have their own needs.
I was SO excited when my philodendron “Philomena” flowered! Apparently it’s very rare for that to happen when it’s a houseplant and only happens when the environment is perfect. Needless to say, my home conditions are less than perfect. 😂

This is my second time owning a string of pearls:) my other one thrived but unfortunately my boyfriend accidentally killed it while I was on vacation. I’ve researched the string of pearls to get an idea of how to care for it again (once you have so many plant babies you tend to get fuzzy on how to care for specific ones) but I’d appreciate any tips/any one else’s care guides!!! calling all plant pros!! i just recently got a sweetheart hoya start, along with a white wizard and white princess start. does anyone have any tips for these plants? i don’t have any current philodendrons and i’ve never had a hoya either! would it frighten anyone else to hear i’ve never started with a start either i usually get pretty well established plants already but, help? please? i do have a humidity monitor already and they came in little cups i’ll show! and is the white princess okay? it better be i just got her today 😔
Hi! Can rooting powder be used on succulents or cacti? Say if leaf is about to fall off due to drying up, would propping with rooting powder speed up the process of prop roots? 🤔
Discorea elephantipes - does anyone have experience with these? Mine is apparently refusing to go into dormancy. My other caudex, a baboon cuc. that goes dormant is on its way, but this guy is just green as hell and buddy buddy with his P. Bronze friend. Should I force a dormancy? I know dormancy can very for them, unlike the other ones. But this was the largest vine from him I got this year, and now this 🙄. it's on a lower shelf and gets mostly only morning light in a south window (less light than the baboon). Temp in the 50-70°F. Humidity around 55 with spikes of 70 when I mist.
My basil stems are woody.. I’ve read this is ok but makes the basil taste different. If I cut it off will it grow non woody stems or should I just start over? Thanks in advance for the advice!!
Anyone have tips for getting saffron crocus’ to bloom? They’re growing amazingly tall in containers in good draining soil, only 5 bulbs/containers, currently over wintering in my garage under a grow light for 16hr/day. (Squirrels and cold temps and extremely cloudy/windy days forced me to overwinter them) They’re like 12” tall but doesn’t seems to have any flower stems yet just the hair like leaves. Planted them at the end of Sept and they were outdoors for maybe 5weeks before going to overwinter in nov. there are also loads of sprouts from each bulb, I think I’ve counted like 50 ‘stems’ that have come up and unplanted 20 bulbs (& 1 bulb got stollen by a squirrel) This is my first time doing crocus’ so still a super noob.
Grow lights! I’m a beginner with plants and live in (not so) sunny Scotland, what is everyone’s thoughts on grow lights? Is there a particular one I should get or does the one in the picture look ok from Amazon? Any tips or tricks welcome, thanks! 🌱🤩
