My basil stems are woody.. I’ve read this is ok but makes the basil taste different. If I cut it off will it grow non woody stems or should I just start over? Thanks in advance for the advice!!

BotanicalBookworm_13Honestly it doesn’t taste that different but I would just start over if your skeptical. I haven’t had luck with cutting the basil off at the bottom

Wolfen 🐺Did you let it flower? You could try cutting it back to nubbins at those first y sections. But it will probably keep going woody on you, especially if it flowered or is super cold. If you start again, make sure to prune it back ever week or two.
