Update on my VFT. Got her on impulse at Trader Joe's about a month and half ago. I was worried she wouldn't make it, but she's been putting out a lot of new growth. Not sure if the droopiness is normal or not though.
I have her in a 50/50 perlite and peat mix, 12hr grow light and watering with distilled water every other day/whenever the tray underneath is dry.

I live in north Florida and unfortunately don’t get any super bright light from my windows.
I’ve had my Nepenthes alata for a few months now and I just don’t think he’s getting enough light or humidity, so I’m thinking of moving him outside to my porch (which does get bright, indirect light). But I’m still a little worried about it.
Any advice/opinions?
Ps, this picture is from a month or so ago and almost all of his pitchers have gone completely brown.

Hi recently my soil for my Venus flytrap is turning grey? Never seen this before any tips?

This is my poor little nepenthe I acquired on EBay last spring. It came with 2 pitchers and one is still half alive. It is starting to get better sunlight in a SE window and I see the tiny bend it makes when forming a new pitcher.
I’m sure it needs pruning but it’s hard to find info on how. I know it’s time to change out the sphagnum moss but I really want to cut the dead leaves off or chop it in half and start over. Any suggestions, advice or wisdom would be greatly appreciated 😁

I just got this little pitcher baby to start my plant journey, any tips would be appreciated! I have it in peat moss like the nursery recommended and I’ve watered it with distilled water, making sure to add a few drops into the pitcher (it was pretty dry) and it sits in a west-facing window. Again I would love some tips as most of the info online pertains to bigger plants and this guy is only about the size of my thumbnail.

Pete is regrowing what he lost. Any reason why the leafs lie down? I thought only the dead one were but this one grew like that.

Hey all. My friend's Venus Fly Trap has started drop mouths and turn black/yellow. Any thoughts? We have it in a window with the blinds up and as far as I know she's been watering it with distilled water. The only thing I can think of maybe we're under watering? My friend has been watering once a week, but I tell her every 2-3 days.

Hi! I’m new and fairly new to my plant obsession 🥰. Anyway, I received these two monkey cups (nepenthes) in the mail a few days ago. Can someone tell me the best way to get them healthy? I’ve misted and watered according to Planta so far. Any other good tips would be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance! 😄

I’m having trouble with my pitcher plant. It lost its pitchers quite a while ago and I can’t seem to get them back. Is it the pot, the environment ……

Hello, I wanted to ask what everybody's experience was with humidity levels. Do Venus fly traps do all right in 30 to 40% humidity? What about mid to high land pitcher plants?

My boyfriend just got this Venus fly trap. I don’t know much about it, I know most people prefer to do tray watering but I have a question. Can he do tray watering and leave it there for how long? I’ve heard people leaving it for months and “nothing happens to it” but idk..? Or is he kind of supposed to do tray watering like a “normal plant” could he let it absorb water and once it has absorbed Can he just remove it from the tray and do tray watering again 1-2 days later? Someone help! He’s really excited. Another thing, he wanted it because his room tends to have mosquitoes so he wants the plant to eat the mosquitos😂. Could it be possible he can treat it as an inside plant? I know he could but the watering would be different as well. Can someone just explain, thank you!!

Recently moved all of my plants across the state. My Trumpet Pitcher exploded with growth. It upgraded its pot size and it’s now flourishing in a Boske self watering container (coincidentally, the pod itself was defective, and has been helpful in allowing the plant to sit in the distilled water. Every day there’s been growth it seems. Very grateful for a successful transition AND repotting! Will be ready for dormancy next year.

Cute little guy is finally happy after shipping and acclimation stress :)

How do I prepare my new Venus Flytrap for dormancy? And then care for it throughout dormancy? I want to give it the best chance of surviving.

I just got a Butterworts plant, it seems to be doing well! It’s caught tons of flies already, but I’d like some tips/advice on how to give it the proper care. I mist it a few times a week and I’m getting some grow lights too! Anything helps. Thank you!
