I just picked up these two sundews at my hometown’s local farmer’s market over the weekend while visiting mom for Mother’s Day 🩷 Curious if I’ve identified them correctly — I believe I have a cape sundew and an Alice sundew.. any experts able to weigh in? 🪴🪰☠️
Help me save my pitcher plant please 🙏 I repotted it in sphagnum moss and perlite as I was directed by the internet it didn’t want to make any pitchers so i thought it needed some fertilizer was told i could use a low dose orchid fertilizer and gave it two spritz of 0.2 orchid fertilizer then watered it good I then left it with my mom under a grow light for a week and well…
Looks like Mr. Piranha is getting ready to bloom. Our Dionaea muscipula ‘Akai Ryu’ (also known as Venus flytrap) is sending up a flower stalk for the first time this season. We’re not sure yet if we’re going to let it flower or trim the stalk, open to suggestions. And yes, our cheeky Nepenthes photobombed again. Can’t keep the monkey pitcher out of the spotlight.

I bought my pitcher plant in March and he's now got roots growing out the bottom of his store pot. He's grown so well so far and I want to keep it going. Do I repot him now or wait till next year when the plant is dormant? How does the dormancy even work as an indoor plant. Do I have to stick it in the fridge or can I just keep it out all the time and not worry about it needed a dormant period?
Hello! I've recently started to get heavily into plants! (I have over 10 atm😅) Iv always wanted to get into carnivorous plants, would anyone here be able to help me get started with those fellas? (Im looking into possibly a Venus fly trap for my first but iv heard those are difficult to keep alive, is there any other ones that would be recommended for beginners?

I got this ping a while ago through the mail. She’s been in her succulent faze for a while, and she sits by a grow light that is on 7:30 am to 10:30 pm. She has also decided to flower? Anyone got any tips on getting her back to her carnivorous faze, and just any tips in general?

Hey there! First time poster, long time listener. I’ve just brought in a few nepenthes and drosera with the short term goal of putting them to work on my fungus gnat infestation and long term goal of adding a terrarium just for the carnivorous crew when they get a little bigger. Any tips or tricks or tid bits to help them get to thriving
Update on my bog after a little over 2 weeks. They’ve acclimated to the sun, Venus flytraps are looking happy, and the pitchers got their red color back! Also that sundew is a bug catching machine 🙌🏽
Is this normal?? In addition to the long center stem, the core (center) moss wrap that the plant originally came wrapped in has now turned black. This spring makes a full year of having this plant, and it was overwintered in the fridge as suggested.
My Nepenthes ventrata’s first new pitcher in my care! The pitcher isn’t fully formed yet, but so proud I didn’t kill her within the first month (😅) 🥹 healthy little girlie
Is this pitcher plant leaf scorched? I just moved it to a terrarium with a grow light so I can better control the humidity, and wondering if I had it too close? Nothing else has changed. Still watering with distilled water, continually wet, and in the same pot.
