Aawwww tiny new pitcher
I havenโt grown any pygmyโs from gemmae before so itโs really cool to see them sprout into tiny little sundews!
Proud of my ping for putting out her first bloom. ๐ฅน
How do I make a terrarium work for my pitcher plant
Sundew seeds?? What do I do with them?
Tell what is your favorite Carnivorous shop (online or local), please!!!!!!
Almost time to harvest some spatulata seed.
All my Venus fly trapโs flowers have opened and my VFT is healthy and not dying.๐ฅฐ
Pete update! I removed all the leaves and placed him where I put my plants for dormancy. He is looking green and is even growing a bit during dormancy. Probably going to repot soon since when he had lots of leaves he was running out of room. Heโs small but healthy and looks like he will be very happy in spring!
Hi, Iโm new to owning nepenthes but not to carnivorous plants in general, I was wondering if anyone can help me with this one, itโs from a garden centre and was very neglected, Iโve been trying to nurse it back to health but itโs still struggling, Iโve changed its soil to a better mix and kept it under the same conditions as my other two but it just wonโt perk up, any advice to help it recover? Itโs a nepenthes gaya btw
I would love to see pictures of your Pings! Comment them! Iโm thinking about getting one! (Picture by Lizzie Harper)
After some trial and error with placement, my pitcher plant (Nepenthes ventrata) is finally giving me some pitchers. They are even catching insects which I was not expecting. What a treat! โจ๐ฟโจ
Please someone help Iโm new to carnivorous plants and this flu trap started failing on me what do I do!!! I fed her a few pill bugs and a beetle three weeks ago and things went downhill from there
I just love the collar on this pitcher Maximus which I believe is called a peristome.
This pitcher is my first carni plant. I've read that I should only repot once it's gone into its dormant phase. She's currently in my kitchen window and seems happy as she's grown several more pitchers, but I'm wondering if I should move her somewhere cooler? I'm in the UK and the central heating system keeps the temp fairly constant, so wasn't sure if she'd go dormant if I left her where she is?
Whatโs wrong with my Venus fly I use rainwater and it sits pretty close to the window and I never let the Spagna dry out
Any idea why they are black???
