Here is my buddy Biter. I had him sitting in distilled water for bottom feeding. He got black edges on his aerial biters so I contacted the doctor who said overwatering. So I took out water tray and took plant out of pot and gently squeezed excess water out and replaced in pot. Here is a picture of today’s plant. No longer wet, but I have another question. I feed Biter these Cubes of gel, which he loves. Should I continue giving him one cube a week or wait. Not sure. Last gave cube 1 week ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Soooo… my cat ate my Venus fly trap when I had my back turned, the little brat. I haven’t touched it other than keeping its water reservoir filled, but any ideas if this is gonna die on me or will it produce more leaves/stems? Is there anything I can give it to help it out? Poor fellow.

My dad got me this cute little pitcher plant as a nice gift, and I’d like to have some tips on how to care for it. This is a nepenthes x ventrata. I have a little experience with carnivorous plants (two Venus fly traps, both dead from bad conditions before adoption). Pls help, I REALLY do not want to mess this up!

Was doing some pre-spring maintenance on the stoop..and chopping back pitchers. lookit the sundews coming out of dormancy! I'd never kept dews outdoors before, just VFT and Sarracenia and heliamphora. But the seller is got this pot from lives in the PNW and says they've been fine.

Just added 3 more carnivorous plants to my collection 🤗🤗 so happy, I got the drosera on discount from the garden centre still alive but obviously not thriving would love any info of how to get her looking happier

After a long time of planning I finally built my first bog garden for the patio 😆 UPDATE- I just cleaned it up and replaced the dead moss that was black after noticing the water was completely dried up and the water level indicator was stuck. The flytrap bloomed and died in a month and I decided not to replace it. I think the rest of the plants are filling out nicely. I also moved it to a sunnier location because it looks too green

Hi everyone. I’ve crossed over to the carnivorous side lol. Just got my Pings in the mail today and I’m super excited. Spent a couple hours videoing what to do with them and came up with making this. It’s an old glass candle jar. Also, rescued a Venus fly trap from Walmart. I put it in water and it’s already doing so much better but if anyone has any suggestions, I’m not well versed on Venus flytraps yet and haven’t had the time to look into videos for care yet. Thanks!

I don’t know why my sundew is drying out. Can anyone help me? I haven’t done anything different. Could it be because it’s so cold outside? If so are there any tips to help?

so my venus flytrap (left) wasn't doing very well it produced another baby (right) and now they're both flowering?!?! like do i just cut the stem off because i've been hearing the flower stalk takes a lot of its energy. also is it going to produce seeds if i cut off the stalks and keep them?

I have to give a shout out to my new favorite grower, Blue Ridge Exotics! They are located in North Carolina, they pack them so good that they arrived in perfect condition and no spilled soil in the box. Only took a couple days to get them vs over a week from California
