This is my first vtf and it came bare root last Friday. My biggest question…is this in dormancy or tiny? I put it in a 2.7” pot with sphagnum. I tested a trap and it closed. Advice and opinions please 🙏

First is a Venus fly trap, it looks so pitiful, is this normal?? Not a single new trap since I got it. Second is a purple pitcher, no new pitchers either :(
My mystery plant from Carnivero is a flytrap! 🤩
My new year’s resolution is to stop buying plants! So I had to get one more!!! And I now have a Nepenthes Mimi’s kiss from Carnivero 😍🤩😁 *she’s in a bag for acclimation
I need some help with my pinguicula agnata. It was in an accident where it dropped to the ground and a big leaf fell off sadly, then more fell off. It’s stopped dropping leaves (for now) but the big leaves aren’t producing any glue. I’m also confused if my plant should be flowering (2) flower buds in the middle of the winter? Some of its leaves were rotting so I had to take them out as well. The leaves are pretty droopy compared to when I got it.
I just bought this plant from store and I have no idea on where to start, any “new plant” care tips. What should I do?
I need help I bought the small vfts from Lowe’s but I want to repot them but I don’t know what size I should put them in
The tops of my pitchers have started to turn black and die, I’ve had this plant for about 2 weeks, planted with spagnum moss and carnivorous soil mix, with holes on the plastic and distilled water in the pots. I also fed them freeze dried mealworms last week. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong?
Hi all! Looking for some advice/reassurance about my pitcher plant. It’s grown it’s first pitcher since I bought it but now it seems the pitcher is so heavy it’s making the entire plant lean to the side. Should I be worried about it leaning? Is there something I can do to help it, maybe a firmer potting mix or something?
Sense I got my 2 Venus fly traps I swear they enjoy throwing their little tantrums of a trap getting sick and flopping down and getting me all worried then 1 hour later being completely fine… I love them but ahhhhhh they enjoy watching me panic (they are all probably feed, watered, and have a plant light tending to their needs.
🥵🥵 thought it would stay green😍 (bottom right: first started, top left: currently)
I know I just made a post saying my plants were thriving, but then my special cockatiel decided to land on every plant he could, which made all my traps close and even damaged some other plants. Luckily it’s all fixable but dude of all the places he could have gone🙄😂 (He normally doesn’t mess with my plants, he just had a little freakout session because I was putting something new in his cage.)
I love how happy she is, she’s been THRIVING lately!! Don’t overthink your plants y’all, some really do just like to be left alone and water/fed every now and then!!
Winter rehab going well for Pete. Pete is getting new traps! Next year Pete will be prepared for dormancy!
Update on my VFT. Got her on impulse at Trader Joe's about a month and half ago. I was worried she wouldn't make it, but she's been putting out a lot of new growth. Not sure if the droopiness is normal or not though. I have her in a 50/50 perlite and peat mix, 12hr grow light and watering with distilled water every other day/whenever the tray underneath is dry.
I live in north Florida and unfortunately don’t get any super bright light from my windows. I’ve had my Nepenthes alata for a few months now and I just don’t think he’s getting enough light or humidity, so I’m thinking of moving him outside to my porch (which does get bright, indirect light). But I’m still a little worried about it. Any advice/opinions? Ps, this picture is from a month or so ago and almost all of his pitchers have gone completely brown.
I love it’s blood red color coming in😍 after 2 months
Hi recently my soil for my Venus flytrap is turning grey? Never seen this before any tips?
This is my poor little nepenthe I acquired on EBay last spring. It came with 2 pitchers and one is still half alive. It is starting to get better sunlight in a SE window and I see the tiny bend it makes when forming a new pitcher. I’m sure it needs pruning but it’s hard to find info on how. I know it’s time to change out the sphagnum moss but I really want to cut the dead leaves off or chop it in half and start over. Any suggestions, advice or wisdom would be greatly appreciated 😁
