Why is it turning black! First time having one of these so I’m a big noob. :(

    ok so mine died but....all ik is humidity mine DRIED out so high humidity and check the light these guys are funny

    Are you keeping it wet and using distilled water? Those are the main parts.

      I keep it wet with regular water…

      That’s probably it then! Regular water has minerals in it which burn the plant, their roots are accustomed to very low mineral water.

    From reading the comments yes you're slowly killing it. NEVER USE REGULAR WATER!!

    Only use distilled water, or rain water. Also only use plastic pots, their roots like to stretch so make sure they have room to reach. For soil i use peat moss, silica sand. Sometimes spagnum moss is used also.

    They love lots of light, if you have them outside use a shade cloth for those really hot days.

    Make sure to use a tray method for watering.
