Hello, I have Venus Trap seeds but im contemplating in waiting for Spring to start planting them due to the dormancy phase looming later this month. I’m not keen on tricking nature and have it sprout earlier to then put it to sleep. Indoor light, 50/50 in Perlite and Peat Moss, and distilled water ready to go. Im open to opinions for anyone who experienced this hesitation before. Thanks in advance!
Ping repotting day today! Split a couple of pings that had pups and potted them up into their fresh new homes. Excited to see how they develop over the next few months
A majority of the petioles are browning at the ends now. The plant has some flowers that last closed a couple weeks ago but the stem of the flowers is still mostly green. What stage is this plant in now? Is it still healthy? Thank you.
My plants are outside this summer, it's my first time doing that and I wondered what temperature should I be bringing them back inside at? B - OH
This is my first time owning a VFT 🪴 I have only had it for a month (always indoor) and it just keeps on growing! Guessing it’s happy 😊 Though with winter coming means it’s dormancy season (I’ve been tolled between Nov to Feb) is almost here. Some people were saying to keep in the fridge but with the size of it, i’m not sure I want it in the fridge 😅 Any tips on how dormancy season works with these ?
I have heard about this "winter dormancy" period for Venus flytraps, does anyone have tips for this? ( first time having a Venus Flytrap before😅)

How do I know when I should repot her?
Question: I have several VFTs that have “died”, I assume they went dormant. How do I care for them during dormancy? Water? Light vs dark? Temperature? How long before I should see new growth? Or when do I know they are truly dead? (Pic is the one still alive.)
I wanted to show you guys my Nepenthes Gaya Pitcher Plant! His name is Marcus and I have had him for about a year and everytime he gets a new pitcher its bigger than the last! First photo was from a year ago and second is about a week ago🪰🪴✨ I'm so proud of him

Got a Venus fly trap today and would love any tips! I’ve only had luck with pings as far as carnivorous plants go, and have killed a few in the past. I’ve got it in long fiber sphagnum moss and perlite/pumice, watering with distilled. It’s currently in my growth chamber under a humidity dome for acclimation. I did notice the leaves were a bit wonky, but I think it’s due to some root rot it had before I moved it into the new moss.
I am just obsessed with the coloration he’s developing 😍
