Hey, I recently received this VFT from my sister and I’m wondering if it’s possible to keep him alive because It’s turning blackish? Any tips & tricks would help so much!! Thank you. Picture: (Sorry they are not the clearest)

    Do you have them in a high humidity area? Or in a terrarium would work best. Also this might just be hibernation, but normally that comes in early fall-winter.

    I don’t have a tank but i could probably find something I’ve heard misting works? I’m not 100% sure though haha.

      Misting might be rough, make sure the spray is very fine so it won’t accidentally trigger a trap, humidifiers would work best

      Don’t mist. People make humidity a bigger deal then it is. They do fine in most humidity’s as long as where you live isn’t extremely dry. Misting and damp terrariums can cause root rot.

    They also prefer distilled water. Make sure you have a humidity tray underneath her, too.
