hi everyone! i just got a new venus fly trap after mourning my old one that i had for three years (rip mr. munch). I got this new one on a whim and it’s been a little while so I’m getting back in the groove with a few questions. 1. Should I repot it from this pot into a larger pot? I took it out of its plastic cover but I figured i’d let it sit in this pot. I also didn’t know whether it’s too late in the spring to repot without too much stress. I have access to a larger pot and some carnivorous soil mix but I’m on the fence. 2. I have a dish under the pot right now, should I water and let the plant sit in the excess or should I water less? Let me know what you think. Thanks!

    i experimented with the watering, i bottom watered for a few days, but now i just let it sit in a tray with distilled water. it was not happy with drying out. they're native to the swamps of the carolinas, so they actually love having wet feet. i've seen people repot at all times of the growing season and they've been okay, they're pretty hardy when they're healthy

    I’ve never had issues repotting any time of year. But, yours looks good as is, so no rush. In regard to watering. The previous comment was spot on. I keep mine with a water dish to help provide humidity. I top off the water dish daily and water maybe twice a week. They like water.
