hey! i bought fly trap seeds, it says they can take 1-3 months to sprout, i’ve had them planted a bit over a month, does anyone have any advice on how to take care of them? i bought a lamp for them and i only use distilled water, i mist the water. should i soak the soil? should i put them in a different pot? the kit came with this bowl 🌱 is the heat source too close or too far away? how often should i turn the lamp on? its 25W. any input would be greatly appreciated on how i could take better care of them!

    Did the kit come with the soil? Personally I use a heat mat and keep it in a ziplock bag until they all germinate. I just started some Lithops and Ice plants and they can take several weeks to germinate. Also, don’t let the soil dry out before they sprout 🌱

      yes the kit did come with the soil, this is the kit i purchased

    You can try putting plastic wrap around the bowl. Give them a little humidity booster while they germinate. Once they start, put them into nursery pots that are plastic, never use glass or terracotta pots

      update!! it’s been around 2 weeks since my post and i changed the pot it was in, since then its sprouted! i think.. i made a couple changes to it, i took it out of the glass bowl it originally came with, and i put it in a plastic pot with drainage holes, and put the pot in a big plastic container with distilled water to suck up, i put humidity on it, from a small heat lamp, can i still give it humidify after it’s sprouted? or no? thanks :)
