First timer, growing my little guys in a small terrarium, and they seem to be doing well. Planta recommends watering it every other day, but this seems excessive. How often do you water your Venus Flytraps? Thanks!

    They need to sit in continuous water like a muddy bog where they come from. Mine is in full sun on a tray of pebbles kept full of water

      do you ever take it out of the water? i’m trying to revive my venus flytrap and am worried if i keep it in water constantly it’ll cause root rot?

      No I don’t. It likes moist conditions. But mine is in direct sunlight which I think is important so it doesn’t become mushy and water logged.

      Sitting in water all the time is excessive. Just make sure the dirt is damp all the time not soaking wet. They live in damp bogs not in swamp water.

      It can cause root rot I do not recommend what this person is saying. Follow Planta (watering from below) but make sure that the dirt is never dry, but always damp. Leaving it to sit it water can make the dirt soaking.
