Soooo… my cat ate my Venus fly trap when I had my back turned, the little brat. I haven’t touched it other than keeping its water reservoir filled, but any ideas if this is gonna die on me or will it produce more leaves/stems? Is there anything I can give it to help it out? Poor fellow.

They aren't toxic to cats or dogs.
4 J'aime Yep she was perfectly fine and enjoying it apparently 🥴 it’s not the only one she got but somehow she didn’t touch the poisonous one I was afraid she might get. I’m thinking maybe surrounding them all with spiny cactus’s to teach her a lesson 🤣
2 J'aime If it remains well cared for, I would expect it to continue growing new traps.
2 J'aime I hope so. I haven’t given it any fertilizer since I know they don’t like that. Wasn’t sure if there was anything I could give it to help it out. It hasn’t fed on any bugs since I got it about two weeks ago

Just keep up care and bright light and it should start to grow new traps. If it takes awhile you may want to look at doing a VERY diluted maxsea fertilizer spritz.

1 j'aime By very diluted I mean 1/4 tsp in a full gallon of distilled. Recommend from California Carnivorous (you can look their care up too) I use it as few times a year on all my carnivorous.

It should be okay with time and care. They are much more resilient than people think!
