Starting my carnivorous collection today with a vft. it appears to be in full, 100% peat, which i'm assuming is not particularly ideal, but i only have sphagnum moss to repot it in. is it worth the trouble, or should i wait for fall/winter time?
Hi, you should do 50% peat 50% perlite OR 50% sphagnum 50% perlite. It needs the perlite for the roots to breathe and aerate since they constantly sit in water and the peat alone becomes really dense.
