nepenthes ramispina x robcantleyi. each pic was taken three days apart, starting our red with a striped peristome when it popped, and now a very dark almost black pitcher 🖤 I hope everyone’s perennial carnivores are coming out of dormancy happy and healthy!

1 like Assuming you’re not talking about this specific cross, it would depend on whether or not your nepenthes is a highland or lowland or intermediate species. A terrarium might be good for humidity, but it would be hard for it to catch for itself so you’d need to give it osmocote pellets every now and then, and of course be making sure the light is appropriate. Temperature needs vary a lot depending on highland/lowland but it should never go under 60 for most nepenthes and lowlands will struggle to thrive if kept that low for an extended period of time.
0 likes The heating mat I use here is for my lowland set up. All my ampullaria, rafflesiana, and bical crosses are kept here with humidity never dropping below 70%, and temps consistently in the 75-80 range. Additionally, highland species like the common ventricosa wouldn’t love it in these conditions. They prefer a 10 degree drop at night time (no lower than 60f still) to truly thrive.
