    unfortunately looks like rhizome rot. i’m not certain this is salvageable, but for the care of mine, i have them always sitting in RO/distilled water in a seedling tray. they don’t like the top of the medium to constantly be soaking, keep it in water and it will bottom water itself. once the top starts to dry up, i top water, making sure to not pour directly on the crown of the plant. the extra water will drain down into the seedling tray, and will bottom water until i have to top water them again.

    Cut off the dead and repot. Only use distilled water! Make sure you use no fertilizer or any bag of soil with the words Miracle Grow! Use a pre mix for carnivorous plants or look online for recipes to mix your own.

    Couldnt it also be from the dormant season? Mine also looks similar. I remember watching some videos explaining how the dormant period looks as if the plant is completely dying only to revitalize in the late spring summer months. Idk

    I don’t recommend sitting it in water all the time. While this works for some it can cause root rot. I also don’t recommend watering it from the top. Water according to Planta but make sure with that schedule the top remains damp (not wet) if not water in between as well. In order to save that repot, prune, and hope for the best.
