wondering how often other people feed their venus fly traps mealworms? my roommate and i are new to venus fly traps and are getting mixed answers online :(

    every 2 weeks i do. depending where you live, they should be dormant now if it’s cold and no feeding is needed. they require full sun outdoors. they will not do well if they’re not allowed to go dormant outside.

    also from looking at the photo of the flytrap, DO NOT actually plant it into terracotta. that WILL kill them very fast. distilled water only or rain water. there is too mush salt in tap water, and terracotta will leach lots of salt as well.

    2-3 weeks while active. And don't feed the same trap multiple times. The traps will only close about 3x before they die.
