Just got this Venus Flytrap from Walmart today, he looks very sad and droopy, and there are quite a few black parts attached to it! Any advice please?

    1. Put it in direct sunlight aka a south-facing window that isn’t blocked by anything or just plop it outside if it’s warm enough in your area. 2. Keep it in a tray with half an inch of water, only refill when it’s drunken ALL the water. 3. If you’ve done that for 3 weeks and it stills seems droopy it might be because it’s REALLY dry in your home like less than 25% humidity and you should get a humidity dome for it.

      Something to remember is it really only needs a bug a week at most. It’s ok if it eats more then that but it won’t use the extra protein and it’ll speed up the rate at which the traps die and it might droop and the traps will grow smaller if it’s really overfed.

      Cut off any traps that are turning black those traps are at the end of their lifecycle.

    That’s big traps for just being from Walmart!!!

      I tried to pick the best looking one! The other ones didn’t look very well, trust me 🥲

      That looks very large though. All the ones that I see at those stores are small wimpy ones

      I just got one with beautiful deep reds in it from Walmart
