My Venus fly trap’s larger traps are all on their way out. They hadn’t eaten in maybe two months so I prompted a large trap with a fly I caught. The large traps are not responsive. Should I prune them? Will the little traps survive without food?

You can wait until until the traps are fully(or nearly) blackened before you chop them off. It reduces shock. And food wise, winter is approaching which means they won’t need to eat anything. You might want to give them one final small meal, but other than that that’s all there is to do.
