She’s not eating. I picked the healthiest looking trap and nothing is the abt to big is she just not ready to receive a meal or what. I live in NY and gave her local rain water as I don’t have access to distilled or r/o water she’s in her original pot I purchased her from Lowe’s. She has put out tiny traps at her base and have trimmed off black traps and leaves. (Update: Removed the ant) but still no trap closure upon further inspection the trap is a bit damaged but still.

I know not to give her any tap water so I use rainwater I have a rain barrel, I’m not sure what the content of my water is but from what I’ve been told it’s safe to use any rain water. And I used a live bug and tried triggering it I used feeding tongs after catching the prey and still couldn’t get her to close so I’m not sure what the deal is in my observation she appears mostly healthy and is in fair condition.

I’m thinking she has low energy to be honest, I tried a smaller beetle and she wouldn’t close so I’m not sure what the problem is. Most of her traps look rough so maybe they are all just spent and old?

Sorry for the late reply, she is usually in a south facing window which gets moderate light and I have a humidity on average between 60-70 constantly. And usually upwards of more then 6 hours of light. I just got a grow light so I’m planning on letting her soak up some light under it. It’s full spectrum and has RBW lights.
