My poor Venus Fly Trap. It was tiny to begin with. Now its down to 2 traps and kne of those just died today. I already changed the pot because I thought the other may have been too small; plastic, 3 in, with drainage. Any other suggestions on how I could save it?
Sooo parched. It needs a water tray of distilled, rain or R/O water
1 j'aime I keep mine in just sphagnum moss. But most carnivorous mixes are fine.

I would do moss and get a plastic pot and cut square holes in the pot so it can soak all the water up make sure it never runs out of water when you add a pot of water to it this is what mine looks like
They prefer to be in plastic pots not glass. You're basically cooking your plant if you have it in sunny windows.
1 j'aime Umm no?? The pot is plastic and the water thing has water it’s not even hot I’ve had my big flytrap for over 2 years that picture was my little one I’ve had for months now so?

1 j'aime It was outside and getting what I thought would be too much rain water. It's been storming a lot for 2 weeks now. I think Im going to put it back outside on the porch. It's part-sun, I can easily move it inside when the temps drop. With the storms it's dropped into the 50s overnight a few times. Maybe bring it inside at night?
0 J'aime Don’t keep moving it find a good Sunny spot I would put it by a Sunny window and make sure it always has water (rain water)
0 J'aimeI’m in zone 8. Mine stay outdoors until freezing then into the garage for the winter dormancy period. They are bog plants naturally so I’ve not had a problem with water
0 J'aime It's way too dry they're starving for water and you may have to repot them in a smaller size pot until they spring back.

1 j'aime A little glimpse of my babies from last year and re-potted into their new planter outside. I use a shade cloth for those really hot days so they don't burn
Thank you all... there are 2 new traps and a couple starting.. it might just make it.
