So I just got this sarracenia pitcher plant and I was hoping I could get some care tips. (I already know about the water, soil, dormancy, and light, I’m looking for more advanced advice).

    If the terracotta is glazed then you’re all good to use it, if not I wouldn’t use that pot.

    They ideally should be in a pot that won't leach water, like terra cotta does. Since they prefer bog conditions. So generally it's a plastic pots in an 1" water saucer. Make sure it's DI, RO, or rain water too

    Put lime juice in the plant and it will make acid

      I’m no expert but that sounds like a horrible idea. I believe sarracenia are dry and only secrete enzymes to eat bugs unlike other pitcher plants unless they have an upturned lid top to collect rain water which mine doesn’t. I hope this is a joke of some sort.

      Ya'll kids need to stop reading the Google fake Ai 🤣 LimeSTONE is a soil amendment that can raise soil ph (which you wouldn't use with carnivorous plants given their preferencesas well as the mineral contents that would be too high for them). Lime juice is highly acidic and can kill your plants if applied directly to them or soaked into their soil. And it would not change the ph of the soil, since it would be washed away with watering. Hopefully before you kill your plant with it.
