I highly recommend a spray bottle like this one. Iâve seen at Sallyâs Beauty supply. I bought mine on Amazon. The spray is very fine and easy in the hands. Great for misting plants or your hair. LOL

Hi, we bought these two beautiful plants (placed on the floor, right side of the photo). Just being honest, I bought them because they LOOKED beautiful. I just have no clue how to make sure I donât kill them. So here I am and hopped on to Planta. Showing you a picture of where itâs at. The sun comes in from the left side sliding door but it doesnât directly hit the plants. Will the cool wind (I live in jersey city) from the sliding door coming in, affect the plant? Should I always keep the sliding door closed? Any suggestions and tips will help. I donât want to kill them LOL theyâre beautiful
Feeding these interesting species of plants can be difficult. A normal plantsâ food would consist of WATER, C02, and LIGHT. These things are very beneficial to ALL plants, but the Venusâ Flytrap has another great recourse. These biting plants loathe nutrient-rich soil and water, mainly because they can âOVER-FERTILIZEâ or âBURNâ your Venusâ Flytrapâs roots. Because of this occurring, Venusâ Flytraps need to get their nutrients from somewhere⊠but where? Not where, but WHAT? What do they get their protein and nutrients from? BUGS! Yes, thatâs right, bugs! How do your traps get those bugs, you ask? Well, each trap, or âMOUTHâ has six little âTRIGGER HAIRSâ as we call them, 3 on each side. When a bug flies or crawls into the Venusâ Flytrapâs mouth, they must strike two hairs, or one, twice quick. When or if they do, the trap will SNAP! If the trap doesnât open in 30 minutes, DO NOT WORRY! It will take almost a week in order for them to open back up. Please do not stick your finger in the trap, because it wastes valuable energy. EACH âMOUTHâ CAN ONLY EAT 4 TIMES BEFORE IT DIES, so triggering a âFALSE ALARMâ will over time, kill the single trap. Now, onto how to feed your Venusâ Flytrap dead bugs. I do not recommend feeding your plant dead bugs, as it is a difficult process. But many do not like handling live bugs, so it is an option. Drop the dead bug into the trap, and then touch two of the hairs inside quickly. For a minute or two after the trap closes, lightly massage the trap. (Another reason I do not like feeding my traps dead bugs is because of this. Over time, this can bruise the leaves.) Come back every 1 minute for the next 10 and for 30 seconds, massage the leaves. If your trap opens up after or within a day, the digestion has been unsuccessful. You may have to try again, or just get used to feeding your trap live bugs. Feeding is only necessary if your Venusâ Flytrap is indoors, as it can catch itâs own outdoors. Hope you have luck with your existing or future Venusâ Flytrap!
frydek elephant ear? very confused by this. normal frydeks have velvety leaves with the white lines on the leaf, these just look like normal elephant wars with the shape of a frydek. is this a new thing? are these just basic elephant ears with the frydek shape?
Is it a good idea to order plants from Ebay?
Some of the pearls are shriveled, am I doing something wrong? I donât want this one to die.
Hello, I have bought a Ficus, my first plant that is hard to take care of. Any tips? I have pruned the dead leaves, and stems, cleaned off the dead leaves in the soil. Repotted it with new soil, and got rid of some the old soil. When I bought it at the hardware store, it was in a little rough shape, but still has some healthy growth. They donât really take care of the indoor plants. I will add a photo later when I have the chance to. Iâve already checked for spider mites, and fungus gnats. One concern is a few yellow spots here and there on the leaves, that look slightly pitted. Any idea what that means? Help and advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

Yâall Iâm horrible at growing Alocasia unless I completely start it from a corm l, but Iâm okay with it since I live watching the growing process. Iâve been trying to find corms for sale online but I canât find any other than Polly, frydek, or black velvet (which I already have). Iâm especially looking for jacklyn, reticulata, and brancifolia. Any help is appreciated đ
Do you use grow lights? I have realized that since my plants are all babies, they need more than just the partial sun they are getting in my house. How long do you leave the grow lights on with partial sun? I donât want to leave the lights on all day while I am at work. So I put them on in the morning and evening. On weekends I leave them on all day. I have no idea if this is still too little light or possibly too much. What type of routine do you use with your grow lights?
I bought a meter to measure how damp my plants are before I water them again. Do I have to be careful not to damage the roots? How deep does the meter go?
