Whatâs your favorite rare or uncommon variations? I have become very fond of propagating from rare or uncommon variations. I love the fact that they are uncommon, and usually consist of added colors like white pink and so forth, but I also really enjoy the thrill of seeing them sprout roots and grow from just a piece of the mother plant. Itâs rewarding and fun. So tell me, whatâs your favorite rare or uncommon variation of any type of plant?
Found this meme and thought it was so funny! đ
Can anyone relate? I have this constant conundrum. Out of my 250 plants, about 2/3 of them are outside. I am practically on a daily basis, trying to assess if my plants have spider mites, or just have been blessed by a friendly spider of a million varieties making a web near my plant leaves and beneficially eating the bad bugs. Every single time I see the webbing I freak out and think itâs spider mites but upon closer inspection and assessment realize 99% of the time that itâs a different type of fine webbing that looks very similar to spider mites, but isnât. Do you all experienced this and is there a good way to determine the difference between the types of webbing? I have yet to see a single actual spider mite bug on any of my plants and have been doing preventative care for some of them (specifically, indoor Calatheaâs and Alocasiaâs) but still just donât know if Iâve actually ever had them. Maybe I have it everywhere and just think itâs other spiders or maybe Iâve just never had them and Iâm paranoid. đ€·đ»ââïž PS I LOVE spiders. So iâm not into killing them. I will however break there webs up cause i know they can rebuild.
Hi have another question for the group. I am according to this app hopeless when it comes to plants. So please excuse the elementary questions. Does yellow leaves on a indoor plant mean itâs been over or under watered? Thank you.
I just looked at the roots of my lemon button fern. đ¶ Apparently, it was grown in some kind of fabric. Not fabric with soilâjust fabric all the way through. I did my best to break it away without doing too much damage, but I doubt this one will recover.
Does anyone else feel like having Alocasiaâs is a lot like having bunnies or rat pets? You start with 6 or 7 and suddenly you have like 50 with all the corm babies it makes! đłđ«Ł
think this sad plant is able to be saved? :(
Hello! Iâm trying to figure out what this little thing is on my Lily, I havenât had any flowers on it and it doesnât quite look like a bud, does anyone recognize what it may be?
What is everyoneâs most rewarding plant? I interpret this as the plant that always has new growth/is sizing up/impressing you/thriving in your home. I reorganized my plant shelf yesterday! But kinda ended up liking it less this way đ«
Is there anything I should look for or avoid when buying support stakes? I see a lot of moss covered but also bamboo⊠does material matter or am I overthinking it? đ
Happy July my plant peeps . Question on grow lights . I am currently looking to buy a grow light for the kitchen recessed canned lighting just not sure what watt would be best?
So I got this Greater Periwinkle plant. I bought it for indoor. I have never had a plant like this. What would you do with it. Including a picture and what I was going to use. Any advice is appreciated đđȘŽ
Any good fertilizer recommendations?
I think my Alocasia silver dragon is going to bloom?? Does anyone have experience with Alocasia blooms and if I should cut it off to preserve the plants energy and resources? Does it risk the plant surviving to keep it?
What kind of plant is this? Philodendron? Rhaphidophora?
Just repotted this African Violet I saved from Loweâs yesterday. I though she was in decent shape until today when I noticed that she was overwatered. Her bottom was leaking disgusting stuff, so I realized that the water got to her roots. I immediately did a repot with new soil and made sure she had all that bad soil off of her. Her roots didnât look the healthiest, but I can only hope that with this repot she will be able to live better and recover! âșïž
