Hi have another question for the group. I am according to this app hopeless when it comes to plants. So please excuse the elementary questions. Does yellow leaves on a indoor plant mean it’s been over or under watered? Thank you.

Well if it is a thin leaf plant than it is pretty normal for the old leaves to fall. But if it is a waxy thick leave or succulent plant then that can mean both but just use your best judgment if the soil is most it is over watered.

What do I do about it? I assume nothing except to be mindful of it. Next time I water?

Well if it is rly wet I would not water until it looks dryer and dial down watering from that point on. But if it is dry try to give it a little more water

This is the tricky part about plants, unfortunately it can mean either one. I try to go by the soil, and even if planta says to water always check it first to see how dry it is first. Sometimes you have to dig it up too and check the roots to figure it out. It takes some time but you’ll get the hang of it!

It sure does take some time but I keep trying! 😅

I recommend a moisture meter. They are cheap and help prevent over/under watering

A moisture meter, how great is that? What a great invention I will get one right away. Thank you so much!
