Hey! I’ve had my wonderful zz plant for a while (since last April) and it’s growing fine it’s just very slow. It’s probably the same size from when I got it. Is it normal for these to just be slow growing? The only change from the photo is most leaves are darker in color now. Thanks!

Planta has me on a fertilizing schedule for all of my plants and everything I know says to only fertilize in the growing months. Is there a way to change this in the app?

Hey there! I got a notification on the app about insulating the plants due to the cold temps here in Tennessee. It popped up and suggested wrapping my plants in newspaper or placing in brown paper bags. I don’t have either. I can’t seem to find the pop up to gather more information. Should I do something like this and could I use something else than newspaper or paper bags?

What should I do with this? The leaves just keep dropping, the way it’s growing is terrible and just looks flimsy. Is there anyway to propagate and start over basically?

I got this striped dracaena from Costco about a month ago, his name is Gerald btw. He was plenty healthy til this past week. The tips of his leaves started getting crisp and he is yellowing on all tips. Some leaves have started yellowing all the way down and curling in on themselves. I watered the day I got him, and about two weeks ago with plant food. I used the diagnostic tool and it suggests more light, he’s in a bright window that gets 8-10 hrs of light. Should I supplement with indoor lighting? His soil is still damp down to the roots, but he has sufficient drainage. *ps new plant mom. Trying to do right by my plants lol. I’ve included a picture from the day I got him and today.

Hi all! I have an alocasia that’s having some browning problems. I wait to water until it is droopy (past root rot experience with alocasias lol) and it is under a grow light. The disco ball is a humidifier haha (I also mist 1-2 times a day). Only two leaves are having this problem. I repotted within the last month, and the roots are great. The pot has drainage and is in bark, perlite, and soil. I’m concerned because it seems to be spreading on the leaves it’s on. Thanks in advance!

A couple of weeks ago I took a beautiful spiderette from my friends spider plant, I’ve been doing the wet paper towel method but the roots have been growing quite slowly and are only about 2-3cm (if that!) so aren’t long enough to pot yet, and now it is getting sad. Does anyone know what I could do to help it while it’s too small for soil? Thanks :) x

Should I replant my pink Princess into a bigger pot? This was a cutting I got about a year ago and it’s grown dramatically (losing a few bottom leaves along the way, making the base a little wobbly).

Please help 🙂. This false Christmas cactus has some leaves that are drying out and falling off. I’m about to water it. I don’t notice anything else wrong with it. If you know how to help or advise please do so. Thank you guys so much!!

My Xanadu has some new growth but I just cut off three brown leaves. I checked that it’s not sitting in water or soggy soil. Does anyone have any advice?
