A couple of weeks ago I took a beautiful spiderette from my friends spider plant, I’ve been doing the wet paper towel method but the roots have been growing quite slowly and are only about 2-3cm (if that!) so aren’t long enough to pot yet, and now it is getting sad. Does anyone know what I could do to help it while it’s too small for soil? Thanks :) x

I put them directly in water. I use baby food jars, glass yogurt jars, pizza sauce jars, etc. This one has already had a lot die off. Remove what comes off easily of the brown parts, and you will probably need to do that a few more times. Scrape off any black gunk as things rot off under water.
