Hi there:) I have just joined the app and the community. I used dr plant to investigate the reason for my fiddle leaf fig plant health issues. It was diagnosed with the overwatering. I am not sure if its correct as I try not to water too much, especially in winter. The leafs are brown (tips) but not rotting anywhere. Can someone help me with the diagnostics ? It has also lost leaves and got some new ones.

So I already have these, these purple LED lights on my windowsill, and these strip lights on a shelf, and I read that they can work as grow lights so just wanted to check if anyone anyone might have more input on it either of the set ups will help at all. Iâm propagating a ton of cuttings right now and I have a north facing windows, so I donât get any direct light at all especially with the winter months being so cloudy.

Why is my Areca palm so brown? Itâs brown and crispy on some of the leaves. When I brought it home it had a couple brown spots but itâs only getting worse. I have a humidifier and a grow light as itâs in a 50/50 spot about 3 metres from the windows. Iâve only had it for about two weeks, Iâm not sure what Iâm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated thanks

What kind of humidifier do you have for your living space to help control the air for your plants? Iâm on Amazon searching for a good one.

Is is too late for this Rosemary? Today my partner was saying itâs probably time to give up and throw it out, but I just set us up on Planta and Iâm going to try to resuscitate. Do you think this is a worthwhile undertaking? Planta thinks itâs under watered, which might be the case, but apparently she had been pretty on top of the watering. The soil was very dry but itâs definitely still quite wet a half hour after watering.

She was fine last week and now she is drooping like crazy. Sheâs been watered and misted on schedule and soil is not to wet. Help!

Hi all,
Can someone tell me why some of the tips of my zebra haworthia have turned red? đ° I just noticed them today. I donât water until completely dry. The only thing different is the addition of a cool mist humidifier about a foot away from my plant stand. Could that be affecting it?

I went to The Leaf here in Winnipeg, Canada which is a new tropical indoor oasis in our town (I think it is a year or so since it opened). The fact it is was -35 C or -31 F when we arrived made walking around looking at giant palm, calathea, and banana trees etc pretty surreal but you only had to look up to see all the windows completely frosted over to remember where we really were. Not a fun place to leave when itâs that cold outside. It was nice to see so many things blooming and all the gorgeous greenery. The first picture is the view as I stepped outside back into the deep freeze.

I canât for the life of me figure out what plant this is â Planta doesnât seem to list it in the results when I search. Itâs clearly not doing very well. Any advice? Root rot?

Beginnerâs cry for help! Planta canât seem to identify this one correctly â maybe itâs a Palm Lilly? â and itâs clearly not doing very well â above all, the leaves are losing their color and starting to shrivel. I water it every 14 days and itâs outside in a humid environment between 70 and 80F every day. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, this is going to be a beginners cry for any help/ advice. Yesterday I received a lemon tree for my birthday. She appears to already have lemon buds growing. Now I am dedicated to the cause but Iâve never had a plant of any kind. So Iâm already running before I can walk. Does anyone have any pro tips on what stage this plant is at or what I need to be doing to make sure I donât kill these babies. I need to repot it, thatâs for sure (Again, Iâm clueless on when I need to do this) but I did put a grow light today, hopefully that helps.
Thank you đđ

I have a beloved Yucca Elephantipes that used to belong to my favorite uncle who passed a few years ago, so the plant means a lot to me. Heâs grown pretty tall and bushy over the years and is too big and heavy to move inside but right now in central Texas weâve got a cold snap with below freezing temps for multiple days! đ„¶ Iâm so worried about him Iâve wrapped his pot in two blankets, put a frost cover over him, then set up a pop up greenhouse tent over him. I strung some old school Christmas lights in there because they give off heat and managed to convince my husband to let me put his new heater in there. lol! He wonât let me keep the heater on over night for safety purposes and I totally understand but Iâm just hoping all of this is enough to keep him from dying. Without the heater it will get to about 20 degrees in there overnight. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

So this fiddle leaf died recently. All the leaves fell off and this was left. It died very shortly after repotting and fresh soil. I almost trashed the whole thing but I looked today and thereâs a new something at the bottom. What should I do??

Hi wonderful plant people! One of my new plants is my first one I need to mist. I donât have something to mist with and I have no clue what I can use lol
If someone can tell me what they use and where they got it that would be awesome even a picture would be helpful.
Thanks plant parents!!

I just repotted my plants into a bigger container with new potting soil, should I immediately give it a full watering or a little bit of water?
