Recently tried to up my plant game for this dwarf elephant ear I got and this morning found a bit of brown discoloring on the edge of one of the leaves. Thinking it’s from it being too cold? I got heat mats to try to help a few days ago as we keep our house on the colder side but wondering if the mats most likely aren’t enough to increase the whole temp of the enclosed shelf. Any thoughts? Photo of the brown edge in the second one.
Silly question but here goes- when the app says liquid fertilizer does that mean normal watering with liquid fertilizer in the water or just liquid fertilizer sprayed into plant soil?
In going on holiday near the end of January for just under three weeks, what do you guys do with your plants? This is the first time I would of been away for this long I have a Venus fly trap, good luck plant, silver inch, tradescantia and a cactus.

I discovered a few mealy bugs on one of my hostas and quickly took care of it with an organic systemic I like which uses rosemary. However I have discovered mealy bug in my chameleon enclosure and really can’t use anything remotely toxic. Any ideas on management? I can ethanol each bug I suppose but would like to hear other suggestions. She doesn’t eat soil but will occasionally munch leaves. Thanks
So now upon my retirement I need to curb my spending.. does everyone use distilled water to water their plants???
Help! My monstera adansonii’s new leaves have little to no fenestrations. What am I doing wrong? It’s in the window for light and near a grow light. It’s in a nice aroid soil mix and I’m watering according to the app (unless the pot is still showing moist).
Hello everyone I’m a new plant grower and I need some assistance my plant is. Golden pho and it has white fungus on top of the soil im not sure if that is a good or bad thing can someone let me know what to do and is it harmful?
I just got this cute cute Scheffalara a few days ago.. when I bought it the lady said to place it near a vent because it likes a breeze, but I googled it and am getting conflicting information 😭 she’s right by the vent so it’s pretty drafty, l’m worried that it’s too much for the leaves. Should I move her or is this placement okay?

Hello plant friends! I have a very healthy philodendron that is growing like crazy. I bought this bigger pot, but it keeps growing in one direction & leaning no matter which side gets sun. I’m a new plant mom… any tips on what to do? I don’t think a bigger pot would help, do I need to tie it to a pole?
I bought my first Hoya rope baby last weekend and she’s in moss which is totally foreign to me! Can I repot in soil when I water in a few days or keep in moss? And maybe repot in something around an inch bigger? I need all the help I can get to make her big and beautiful!

just got this babies today for 30$ each. had to repot them into new soil as the one they came with had fungus and tons of gnats. Cleaned their leaves as well. Any other tips/recommendations?
Parts of my yarrow at turning into this dark purplish color and overall it’s doesn’t look as healthy as it was when I first got it. why the hell have i got these centipede things in my plants soil?!
HELP my plant is dying of something?? My plant, an Olympia False Aralia is dying. I googled its weird symptoms and apparently it’s something called dieback? All of its leaves are super dry even after watering it, it’s been like this for a week and I don’t know what to do since it’s been a really well adjusted plant so far.
