just got this babies today for 30$ each. had to repot them into new soil as the one they came with had fungus and tons of gnats. Cleaned their leaves as well. Any other tips/recommendations?

Chase :)I usually use a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide for gnats, that should take care of any eggs still in the soil. I've also heard neem oil as a treatment, but I've never tried that myself

YES, this helps a ton, also get some sticky traps for the gnats that helps a lot too

Amie206Do you have other Alocasias? They can be heart breakers and drop leaves for no apparent reason. Since they’ve been repotted that’s extra stress from moving. I’d just be gentle with them for awhile

Tee JayThey love humidity, moist soil, and bright to medium indirect light! They’re also spider mite magnets, so I’d recommend cleaning the leaves once a week with a pest preventative
