Got this gorgeous black velvet Alocasia and Iâm very nervous lol, Iâve done my research and I know they can be temperamental.. any extra tips for keeping her alive?
I suppose this is a dumb question.... but.... do you always need to let a houseplant's soil dry out before watering it to prevent root rot? I know with succulents you are supposed to let the soil dry out completely between waterings, but I had kinda thought with most other plants (depending on what plant it is, of course) the soil should stay moist (but never soaking unless you have a wetland plant) a couple inches below the surface! Is that right?? I'm a little confused!
Any tips pls for keeping him healthy indoors!
Hey everyone! I know itâs probably bedtime for most of you but if you can take a quick moment and help me with my spider plant that would be great! The leaves are yellowing on both the spider plants in the pot and theyâre both in direct, bright sunlight, Iâve been watering regularly. Could somebody help? The soil does hold water so it could be root rot?
Hereâs some of the new growth Iâve seen in my plants recentlyđ± Shoutout to the new fertilizer I started using a couple weeks ago, Joyful Dirt!
Any tips on how to care for a Gasteria flow. I bought mine from Loweâs and was told to water it any time it gets squishy. Is this correct? Also there is discoloration toward the bottom of the plant but I donât think itâs rotted is this normal
Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is? I just repotted it to a much smaller pot that is here. I had a gnat infestation and repotted all of my plants and this one had very very little to no roots. I used regular potting soil but havenât watered yet. Was going to wait a few days as it may have been root rotted? The roots donât look good but the plant looks fine. How do I get this beauty to root? Any tips or suggestion are so much appreciated!!
Is this supposed to look this stringy with skinny stem and tiny leaves? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!
