Iâm caring for my first rubber tree. I noticed that the stem closest tothe soil looks drier than the top stems. Is this normal? Itâs a 2ft tall right now under a grow light. I bottom water once a week and also top water after the 4th/5th bottom water. Am i doing anything wrong?

New to the app here. Got it for my birthday earlier this month. My question is how many of you are adding your plants and itâs location and this app tells you ânot recommend thereâ. I would say at least half of mine are coming up as not recommended and theyâve all been doing fine so far. đ€·đœââïž

How often should snake plant be watered? Planta reminds me often and I find myself skipping when it does because the soil is still moist.

Can someone help me with my arrowhead? I repotted it on Saturday last week and watered it before going on a trip to AZ. Sheâs been in the same spot for sun for the last 3 years.
Is she overwatered? How do I save her, she used to stand up more proud. A friend gave her to me three years ago as a housewarming gift and Iâm afraid of her dying!

What are some of your favorite names for your plants?
For me, my favorites are Splendid the split-leaf thaumatophyllum and UNION STRIKE 2: SUMMER BOOGALOO the bear paws succulent. Splendid definitely lived up to his name by being the hugest and lushest of my plants, outgrowing his pot every season. And UNION STRIKE 2: SUMMER BOOGALOO is because she looks like sheâs about to throw paws đŸ and also is a shout-out to 2023âs union strikes â (the 2 is because I killed my first bear paws đ).

Silver inch plant (wandering etc) (idk the correct name). Sheâs been thriving in this water bottle but is this a build up of the water or mold? It seems to be spreading

TRANSITIONING FROM MOSS POLE TO STAKE:
Hi! I have a scindapsus exotica on a moss pole with live spaghum moss, and Iâm looking to move it onto a different support stake, likely a pole out of tree fern fibre. (The leaves arenât sizing up massively from the live moss so itâs not really worth it for me to keep it moisturised all the time!)
My question is - if I transfer it, will the aerial roots thatâs grown in moss die, or will it be able to re-attach itself to the new stake? Any tips on how to get the latter done ASAP? One time I moved a philodendron from a coco coir moss pole to a spaghnum moss pole and the aerial roots wouldnât latch on quickly and all died! Wondering how I do differently so it doesnât happen again. Thanks in advance!!
Quick Q:
I have a few indoor plants under grow light that are quickly outgrowing their pots, and showing signs of stress.
But with the colder weather (our current home has no central heat) and an upcoming move in the next month or two Iâm hesitant to repot them since that sounds really stressful.
Any recommendations?
Move away from grow light to slow growth without repotting ?
Repot, move into one of the heated rooms and make sure theyâre on the last round of moving to maximize their adjustment time?
Thanks fronds đżđ

Hi!! New plant mom here! So Iâve acquired a few plants over the past couple months and have them set up on my windowsill because itâs the best, and only, source of light in my tiny studio apartment.
While propagating my monstera it was taking awhile to grow roots and my friend suggested I move it farther away from the window because it mightâve been too cold. I then realized that there was a small draft coming through that window, and whether it was time or temperature the prop started growing roots a little bit after moving it (about a month total prop time.)
Now Iâm wondering how big of a deal the draft is? Should I sacrifice sunlight for temperature? Thanks!
