I have a dieffenbachia that has gotten very tall and keeps tipping over despite putting posts in to stabilize it. I have heard that I can cut it off mid-trunk and plant it back in the soil, and it will grow new roots. Iâd like more than one opinion before I give this a try! Thoughts?
Help!! Iâve been very kindly gifted this gorgeous money tree and during its transport it came loose from its pot. I was able to repot it with the ficus soil I had along with what was in the pot, however the pot itâs in doesnât have drainage holes. Will it be ok? I donât want to mess with it too much as Iâve read theyâre quite sensitive to being moved round too much and itâs been transported 30 miles today poor thing!! Any pointers welcome please đ€đ»
The first picture is a Swiss cheese I bought from Home Depot today and it does have webbing at the bottom of the plant but I did some looking and found a spider so Iâm assuming all of it is from him and not spider mites? Iâve never had them before so wanting to make sure. The second picture is a ZZ plant I saved from Walmart clearance. There is white roots sticking out of the bottom but I do think itâs in beginning stages of root rot because Iâm pretty sure I see some mushy dark roots hanging out as well. Iâll have to investigate better tomorrow. If it does and I treat it/cut off bad roots, any tips on keeping her healthy since sheâll be messed with while not acclimated? Also, should I just take off the damaged leaves?

Does anyone know how long the center will take to grow? it has been growing small one on the sides for the last two months but nothing in the middle.
Does anyone know how to turn off ALL fertilizer reminders at once? Or if only one at a time, how? Thanks. And for fun, hereâs my mutant Angel Wings. (Well, Iâm calling it mutant because itâs shot up 1.5 FEET past all other stems I have on my 5+ other Angel Wings plants, including the same plant. No fertilizer! 26â and still growing. Donât know the variegation because it was a bag of mixed bulbs (yay Amazon)! (Click pic to see whole stem/leaf)

Hey yall. Wanted some advice. Unfortunately my aloe plant got knocked over, and while I was repotting it I noticed that the outer leaves were starting to fade a bit. I got this plant last week, and havenât watered it yet because the soil it came in was completely drenched. It sits on my balcony where the sun is directly on it for about 8 hours. Should I go ahead and cut these leaves away, or is there still time to save them? The shorter one does look like it sustained some damage in the fall.
Is dollar store decorative moss ok for stuffing growth poles?
Thoughts on using this type of fertilizer for indoor plants + application tips? (Do you normally with water or direct application to soil)
I just got a string of pearls and Iâve heard that they are hard to take care of. Iâm not sure if planta will be good because Iâve had some issues before. Should I trust planta and put her into a schedule or do it my self?
Iâve just started this new project with plants Iâm getting older and never thought Iâd ever get into plants but here we are đđŸI got one plant and now Iâve gone crazy and itâs amazing how interesting it is these are my collection I donât know what all of them are called or how to even look after them all but Iâm trying and itâs really rewarding and a great hobby. For the planta app I use liquid fertilizer in my water. However, it has me water one day and the next day it says it needs fertilizer. Is there any way to fix this? Cause then I have to check the plants each day to see if they need fertilizer too.
Calathea rhizome spotted at the bottom of my pot. Is it time for a repot? This is all i can see at the bottom, no other visible roots or rhizomes. Iâve got some browning leaves and wonder if it may be because itâs due for a repot? Also, if i were to repot, what size would be best? Itâs currently in a 6â pot. Thank you!
