I have been looking for a Prince of Orange Philodendron plant for a while now. So imagine my excitement when I went to the grocery store today and found a display of them in the florist department. I quickly found the best looking one and adopted it (or did I rescue it?). When I got it home I realized that it has a few roots coming out of the top of the pot and it actually slip out of the pot quite easily. Is it too soon to repot it? I don't want to shook it too much.

I need some help with this little guy; he’s a ‘Frydek’ allocasia. I purchased him online, and he came in moderately good shape. But, as time has marched on, he began to do poorly. I repotted him in a ficus soil, and now he’s asking to be watered every single day! He doesn’t seem to show any deleterious effects from his frequent watering ; the moisture meter I use shows normal when I water, so I know I’m not overwatering him. Any advice regarding this little guy would be appreciated. I only bought this plant because I saw it on a Planta member’s post, and fell in love with it. TIA. 🤗💚🪴 PS. I think I can see the beginnings of a new leaf starting as I look through his stem… 😀!

If you dug a hole in the ground, and put a pot with a plant in it, would it be able to survive temperatures like plants planted in the ground? I was wondering if I could do this with some plants in winter.

I found this fall army-worm moth caterpillar on my indoor parsley and chose to raise it in a container covered by punctured aluminum(photo one), does anyone know what they eat. I am currently feeding it fallen mini umbrella tree leaves.

Pardon the mess that is my plant room! I'm waiting on my plant stand to be shipped so I can move them to the south facing window for fall. I'm looking for more easy-care plants. I LOVE variegation! Any suggestions on other pretty babies i can try to love? Bonus points if its easy to propagate! Thanks for helping this newish plant mama out!

Figuring out how to bring the plants I had outdoors inside (north Texas)😅 was thinking about buying the Amazon plant shelves and have one wooden cabinet I made into a grow cabinet. We shall see how it goes!

How do you know when African Violet flower death is normal? Mine were blooming beautifully for a couple of months but now they’re kind of wilting at the stem of the flower itself and dropping…

Is this plant dying? I found this plant at my mother’s house and was wondering what it could need.

I'm not sure if spraying a plant with a bottle will damage it. Humidifiers seem quite pricey, and I'm not really looking to buy new decor. If a humidifier is my only option, I don't want to spend over £20 on one, and it would have to be discreet. I have a gold dust croton, not sure if this changes anything. I'm new to this and have no clue what I'm doing. I have a few questions, Will spraying a plant with a bottle damage it? 2. Can a humidifier be purchased for under £20 and still be effective and discreet? 3. How does having a gold dust croton affect the plant care options?

Hello everyone, so I have a beautiful bird of paradise but I keep reading that you should wait for the dirt to dry out completely vs just the first 2-3 inches of the soil. I use a moisture meter and at the very bottom it reads wet, any advice on which is the best way to water? Thank you!

I bought a spider plant from Lowe’s yesterday and want to repot it! I have never seen so many babies!!! Do you suggest thinning these out from the mother and repotting them? These babies are growing roots like crazy!!

Sister in law had a sad looking monstera that was far too big for the pot it was in. Turns out it was 4 plants in there!

“🎵Sometimes it feels like somebody’s watching me.” I was doing my daily check for pests and blooms. I bent over to get a closer look at some succulents and saw what looked like a coiled snake in a pot. 🐍 It turned out to be the legs of a Southern Leopard Frog. Very showy compared to the other brown frogs in my yard.

Why does my begonia have brown tips on its leaves?

Holly

Hi! So I got one of those “eco cups” systems as a gift and you’re supposed to be able to grow an orchid tree. I followed the instructions and after about 4 weeks I am seeing this. I can’t find any pictures online of what it SHOULD look like… to me this looks like something else has taken over (mould, fungus?) but I wanted to be sure! Any help appreciated! (The other seed - bottom - is definitely mouldy.)
