When grandma says she doesn’t want her plants anymore, you go scoop them up. No other option 🥰 snake plant laurentii, pearls and jade pothos and golden pothos not pictured. I was most excited about these 💚

Ok I know I ask a lot of questions but I'm just really excited to learn more about my house plants and you all are so helpful I just can't help myself. My question this time is about humidifiers. How long do you leave yours on. I have read 1 to 2 hours, 3 to 5 hours and 8 to 12. I'm so confused not sure what to believe. Thanks once again for your help

For people who plant shop online, what is your favorite online store? Where I’m from in NY doesn’t have many plant nurseries aside from big box stores like Lowe’s, Walmart, or Home Depot

My single stem of ficus schrijveriana was getting tall and starting to lean, so I took a gamble and chopped it wayyyy down… 2 weeks later and I have 4 new growth points 💥

Hi planty people!! Sooooo, after seeing so many spring plant hauls from everyone on here, I finally broke down and had to scratch my plant itch lol. I got myself a begonia (Don miller) I’ve been eyeing for a long time. But now, I wanted to see if any of you begonia lovers have any suggestions or advice for how to care for it (potting mix, type of pot, lighting, etc) I am thinking it isn’t as drought hardy as pothos so I don’t want to give it dry rot. 😬

I just snatched up the biggest deal on one of my most hectic work days just because the roads near my neighborhood were stupidly jammed. All the costa farms plants at my local lowes were put on clearance [AND STILL IN GOOD QUALITY] so I snatched up a new pixie syngonium and a wonder ivy >:0! Had a repotting party as soon as I got home ✌️😌. Houseplant chores are the best chores istg.

What is the technical term for wandering Jew plants? I have a lot of them and the app identifier are calling it a boat lily, but it doesn’t look quite right.

Duhhhh… I’ve been checking my philodendrons with wooden stakes, just like I do my pothos, when I need to water, however, I’ve just realized that even though care info shows they are medium drinkers, Planta says (under instructions for watering), they can be “sensitive to too much water so it’s better to air on the side of underwater rather than overwatering”. That sounds sort of like an oxymoron, to me! So, what should I be looking for if I’m going to use a moisture meter, not a wooden stake, since these plants don’t like to be totally dry? TIA!

I have several types of Tradescantias and they do great in the summer when they are outside and slowly over the winter inside they start dying. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. I water when they are dry and they have a grow light for 12 hours. Please help and thanks

My Baby Spider plant was found beneath a larger Spider plant. Baby has a different root system. The little one doesn’t seem very solid and I think it needs moral support. In the meantime should the longer leafs be trimmed? The tips are brown. Thanks in advance for your expertise.

Is there a “dormant” setting somewhere? My outdoor caladium will be coming up again soon but a progress update and fertilization schedule is not necessary right now.

Best Indoor Plant Suggestions I am looking into getting a larger indoor plant but not sure what would be the best option given the plants I have experience with. Right now I have the following plants and all are doing very well: - Aloe Vera - Spider Plants - Calico Kitten - String of Pearls - Echeveria varieties - Watch Chain I am looking into the possibility of the following plants: - Monstera - Ponytail Palm - Snake plant - Fiddle Leaf Fig I plan to put this plant near our large sliding door, so it will get lots of sunlight. Some other things to consider is I live where we experience all four seasons, so it must be resilient if it gets a bit cold near the window in the evenings. I also would prefer that it doesn’t get wildly large (or can easily be broken apart to propagate and/or can be trimmed back). Would love to hear thoughts and opinions on the plants I’m considering, or others I may be overlooking!
