Update on my plant! I think I may have the species wrong, though (per the app- it doesn’t seem to think the species I input is real or something…) I’ve moved the 2 bulbs where the leaves are growing from into seperate temporary pots while I make some ceramic (stoneware) pots for them. Any advice about these plants would be welcome as I got this off my sister and have no idea about anything to do with this plant!!

This is my brasil/heart leaf philodendron. I’ve been busy and stressed so I didn’t keep up with watering my plants much and it used to have mold so that’s why it might look sad. I noticed this tiny leaf and realized that the stripe seemed pink and so did the stem it came off of. The underside of the leaf was even more pink/red. Why is this happening?

Good afternoon, everyone ☀️ I recently picked up three new houseplants and I’m struggling to name them. The first two are Hoya krohniana, and they’re quite similar, so I was trying to think of two names that could go as a pair, whether that be alliteratively, a good name set for twins, or something to allude to the splashes of white on their leaves, which kinda makes me think of snow. I’m really stumped with those two, so TIA to anyone who can help me name them. The third one is a watermelon dischidia which I’m debating over naming Miles or Milo, so feel free to give your two cents about which name I should pick for that one. TIA!

Peperomia verticillata, cascading down the side of my plant shelf. Do I leave her as is? Provide support? (I don’t even know where I’d start - suggestions welcome!)

Here’s my new baby, Marsha! Went to have my string of pearls repotted because I suspected there was root rot (and there was 😮‍💨) and of course took a stroll and picked up a new rescue (that’s how I justify buying new plants, like I’m at the animal shelter. lol

I found a satin pothos and pothos n’joy at a plant store a few weeks ago. Their soil was very bad so I repotted them and found out they only have maybe 2-3 inches of roots each. I decided to pot them together because alone the weight of their leaves would topple them over. I really don’t want to cut their leaves off because they are very healthy and pretty. The plant have no health problems and have started to grow many new leaves. Any tips and did I do the right thing?

Hi plant friends! Well, I’m still working away on figuring out the best care for my calathea velvet jungle. There was a couple days I didn’t refill my humidifier so that certainly didn’t help. But then …. Once I’m pretty sure I’m not the right parent for this plant …. A new leaf is coming in!!! The other ones look horrible and I’ve contemplating trimming it all down and starting over. So I guess I’ll see what happens with this new leaf before I decide anything. I’m pretty excited!!
