I have s big spider plant and this is what's on some of the leaves
Can anyone identify this plant? My husband adopted it from a colleague who was leaving and heâs going to have it on a ship with him for months on end. Weâre trying to figure out how to take care of it properly before he leaves
After a few weeks of buying gallons of distilled water for my plants I decided to switch to using H20 conditioner. This one for aquariums was recommended. Only problem is it's formulated to treat massive quantities of water (50 gallons per cap). The smallest quantity easily measured treats 10 gallons. I probably managed to eyeball halving that for my 1 gallon jug. So my question is, if I'm "over treating" the water by a little is that harmful?
Hey besties!! Iâve recently joined the world of houseplants and was looking for some advice. I live in an apartment that doesnât get insane amounts of natural light and I donât have a patio or anything to put my plants for sunlight. Is there anything I can do to help give them better light? So far they look like theyâre doing alright, Iâm just worried theyâre gonna die from no light. Or even if you have some tips and tricks for a new plant mom! For better context I have a guzmania.
Update: last year I bought a Boston Fern from Loweâs that soon started to look like it was dying. I took it out of its pot & separated it into 2 as it looked root-bound (learned that term here!). Through the (Florida) winter they looked like the first photo, & I wasnât sure if it would come back or not as I am a new plant parent (started last year!) but now I have two lush ferns! Itâs so rewarding đ„°
My Zebra Plant is doing so well! đđż Loves lots of water and the window light! đ„°
Anyone have suggestions on success for pruning back my umbrella tree? Itâs getting a little too wild for its corner. Itâs currently 3 ft from base to the top of the trunk where the highest leaf pops out.
I wanna see everyoneâs favourite plant windows this is mine in my living room it just makes me feel so cozy Also Iâm a beginner and want to steal inspo from all of you đ
My grow lights came in, added them for my succulents.
So happy with these finds from today. Went to a local nursery and found this massive climbing manjula for only $23! Then while looking through a big batch of florida green i spotted this one with a florida ghost pup for just $10đ€© Might take some tetris to make room for them, but for those prices they had to come home
Itâs been only 2 weeks from the nursery and the English lavender plant looks like this! How do I revive it?
What cause my aloe leaves to get visibly wrinkly under the leaves near the bottom? Almost feels like leather and leafs are starting to feel a little loose.
Does anyone know what these white spots on my jade plant could be? They almost look and feel like pores. Iâm hoping itâs not pests đ€
iâve had this anthurium for a few months and it used to be vibrant pink but has faded, the leaves are starting to become brown too. its quite a few feet from a window, i water regularly and give plant food, anyone know whatâs wrong?
Heya!!! đ Iâm somewhat new to the world of plant parenting but completely new to the world of high humidity plants- Iâve been given my sisters nerve plant who is incredibly unhappy and have no idea what to do!! Any advice would be so well received because this girl wants to live!!
I repotted my bird of paradise at the beginning of last month and the health of it has significantly decreased. Iâve lost two leaves since this photo. I noticed the soil smelled bad today. What happened? What should I do?
Does anyone have recommendations for reasonably priced pendant-style grow lightbulbs? I put minimal effort into my current setup and I'm sadly getting minimal results (shocker lol). 1 know Soltech is the gold standard but I'm not ready to drop $200 just yet.
hey guys! iâve just recently gotten back into plants and iâm looking for some advice! i have an aloe plant, a spider plant, a dracaena and a money tree. theyâre all on the smaller side and definitely babies! does anyone have advice on how to care for them? i know the app gives advice on how to take care of them but iâm wondering if anyone has some tips and tricks or even something the app wouldnât tell me that would help. thank you in advance!
I posted a while ago about moving with my plants (specifically shipping them, which Iâd never done before)â I wanted to give a quick update since I just unwrapped them from their cocoons and boxes etc. It was a real operation lol I WRAPPED those puppies in paper and saran wrap Plants survived the first leg of the journey! I have yet to excavate the pothos currently living in an empty/room-temp cooler for protection (scared for her) but so far things are looking up for the planttyys!
LONG POST ALERT BUT PLEASE READâŠ..Hello my plant friends., I am sending this to everyone as a precaution for when you purchase your plant babies. I love my pothos plants and have always been able to grow them without killing them. Well I could not figure out why one of my plants a (hanging basket) kept having issues was slowly dying. I repotted twice already before today. However on today I finally decided I was gonna shake away all soil on the roots and treat the roots before this repot. Needless to say I found out why my plant was not thriving. PLEASE TELL ME why did this nursery feel the need to support one of the vines to the main root ball with a rubber bandâŠđĄđĄđĄthatâs what I get for going to a nursery I normally donât deal with. I said all of that to say this EXAMINE your roots soon when your plant keep having issues. So from a hanging basket to now thisđđ„Č
