Loving all the blooms on my trailing velvet! 🌸
Has anyone ever used banana peel water or coffee grounds on their plants? What are your thoughts?
Hey y’all! I’ve got a question I think only a group of >40,000 people can answer! I’ve been doing research and none has been conclusive, I cant find if ONLY the Mimosa Pudica is touch-sensitive, or better phrased, if any other plants in the Mimosa genus will close when touched, I ask this because where I live (and I’ve also see in florida, the caribbean, and mexico) there is a tree that grows really tall and has Mimosa-like leaves but no research on it’s sensitivity to touch is available! I guess what I want to know is the touch sensitivity among plants in the Mimosa genus and if the plant I am thinking of even is Mimosa? I ask this because recently I took a seed pod and germinated successfully and the sprouts look EXACTLY like a Pidica’s emerging set of leaves, could anyone help???
Ya'll I think my parents and boyfriend is getting tired of all my plants... I am 15 and I take care of a total of 39 plants (I need another one to make it even lol) and none of my parents nor boyfriend are plant people. I'll go on a plant rant and they don't understand what I'm talking about.... or I'll show them a plant I find cute and they don't understand lol... I hope they understand that my plant collection is only getting bigger... especially since all my plants propagate and I love to prop my little baby's lol
Check it out!!! Buying more lights soon so don’t get on me about that!

So I have a watering question. I use a moisture meter to gauge the soil. A lot of the watering instructions say that when the first two inches on top are dry. So if the top is dry but the meter reads wet at the bottom of the pot is it ok to water? This won’t lead to root rot? Thanks everyone
Note to self bring pizza home with new plants so my boyfriend isn’t too unhappy.
Sorry for the lightning (or lack of) but does anyone know what plant this is? My grandma gave it to me but didn’t tell net what it could be…
A any idea why my scindapus exotica is vining like crazy. It’s in leca and in a south facing window. 🤷🏾♀️
So, I’ve always liked plants, but never this much. I’ve always had a succulent or something on my desk and that was kind of where it ended. That was until a friend gave me a baby mung bean plant and it sort of spiraled from there. I now also have an orchid, 2 nerve plants (a regular and a white tiger), 2 peperomias (a schumi red and a San Marino), a rattlesnake Calathea, and I think 5-7 succulents or something like that. I’m planning on making all of them ceramic pots (with drainage wholes), and I’ll make sure they’re a little bigger than what they’re in right now. I’m also a photographer so I’ll probably use them as a subject in some of my shots once their pots are done. I know some of these plants are sort of dramatic, but after the hours of research I’ve done I think I’m pretty confident in keeping them alive lol, but I need all the advice I can get. If anyone knows anything about these plants just let me know 😁 Thanks!!! TLDR: I need plant advice on my new plants. I’m a beginner.
has anyone’s begonia also flowered! min produced a flower!! at least i think that’s what it is someone let me know!

What variety is this lovely little baby? I can’t figure it out. Thank you.
Hey guys ! How would you protect each of these plants for winter ? Arbor-vitae on the left and Boxwood buis green on the right. I brought them inside temporarily, but I can't keep them where they are and need to put them back outside.
I have put some herbs in a pallet. The herbs are mint, rosemary, thyme, parsley and lavender. It’s becoming autum and the plants are quite small, will they survive the winter?
