Plant lover 2000

Ya'll I think my parents and boyfriend is getting tired of all my plants... I am 15 and I take care of a total of 39 plants (I need another one to make it even lol) and none of my parents nor boyfriend are plant people. I'll go on a plant rant and they don't understand what I'm talking about.... or I'll show them a plant I find cute and they don't understand lol... I hope they understand that my plant collection is only getting bigger... especially since all my plants propagate and I love to prop my little baby's lol

    Can relate!! Was on family Zoom, and my mom was talking about a Hoya her mom had, and I asked what kind? And she says "a hoya".........🫥. To which i gathered up like 6 plants in my arms and said "mom, those is a Hoya, and this, and this, this also a hoya..." 😆 🤣 granted she herself has never owned an indoor plant. Only outdoor. So please Rant away!! We get it

      Lol I gave my mom a marble queen pothos once... she always called it an ivy till one day someone asked what it is and how it looked so good... she told them that she forgot about it and never watered it. Little does she know I've been taking care of it

      My favorite is a tie between my shangri la pothos and my Thai con monstera. And I’m really wanting an anthurium clarinervium or crystallinum next!!

      I know right... I love how they slowly get bigger "ears" and they look so cool... as soon as I can find one or get my hands on one... life gunna be so fun

    I haven't seen on in a store yet. Though Lowe's like to pop up with some rare succulents occasionally. I have seen a lot on etsy. I get a fair amount of plants off there, I just read a lot of the reviews first, especially the pic reviews to make sure they are legit

      I never really buy online but I plan to soon, most people look at me and think that I'm just starting g out so they give me little bits of their plants that I can prop... little do they know lol

      One of my fave things to do is walk around the garden section and look for broken pieces of succulents to prop haha

    I get that - I started taking care of plants a couple years ago, and my brother started taking care of some of his own after I showed him so many cool plants, so maybe the plants will grow on them eventually (pun intended haha)

    I had to tell my husband that I needed him to say a certain thing in a certain way when I showed him a gorgeous leaf on my Lemon Lime Philo. 😅 None of my immediate family are plant lovers. My mom is pretty fond of them though, so I am constantly sending her Marcos about my plants. 😆

    YO!!! SAME PROBLEM! I’m also 15! I have over 45 plants in my “collection” and neither my parents siblings or girlfriend are plant people or even like plants! Ive already redone my room to accommodate all my plants.😭 we should stay on touch since we have the same strougles!! I have a group chat with some plant friends from my school!!!
