Does anyone have any tips for growing banana trees? I’m in zone 8a due to the “cold” winters, but from April to November the temps are around 70-100 degrees with high humidity. I’ve heard that banana trees can withstand being frozen back in the winter, but come back the next year. Is it realistic to get bananas from them or will they not have enough time to produce? The only time temperatures drop below freezing is from late December to early February.

I have not watered or done anything with my plants for a few days now. I’ve been planning to give everyone a Neem Drench and the next day use a bug fogger (big gnat problem). So, my question is, there is not a setting for a drench, do I just log it for a watering?
I am wondering when to repot most of my plants. Is there a general rule of thumb for when to repot your average house Plants?
Has anyone got any recommendations of hanging plants that don’t mind shade? I have a north facing room but would love some hanging plants. I’m thinking maybe some Photos but also not sure what variety?
I have several plants whose leaf tips easily turn brown. I’m wondering if a self watering pot will help with this problem. Can anyone recommend a favorite self watering pot? I am looking for a pot that is about 6 inches in diameter. TIA…🤗💚🪴
I got this peace lily sensation from steins garden center today and it looked rough so I toke it home and repotted it and it was root bound and it had some root rot so I cut the rot off and I did remove a lot of healthy roots to stimulate root growth ( about 1/3 not sure if this was the best idea) and the pot was 1 inch bigger but the soil had a hard time filling in the gaps in the new pot so I had to really push and punch the pot to get it to fall in, I’m just worried it’s going to go into shock now. What do you think?
Hey guys!!!! I have huge question have this rare plant and it wilts no matter how much I water it, it's my favorite plant and I can't see this plant go! If anyone has advice I would love to know please help!!
Hi guys. I have a kalanchoe mamorta that I got from a friend. When I got it, it was in a giant terracotta pot right next to a window. I hate how terracotta looks so I put in plastic and right in a window. It was doing fine and I watered it, and all the sudden its leaves turned yellow, thinned out, because flexible and some started dropping. I repotted it in a smaller pot thinking it would prevent over watering and added rocks for drainage. I haven’t watered it in weeks and it’s still declining. Please help!
Happy holidays!I have a question, how do you know when it’s time for repotting your plants 🪴
I don’t think it would be so far fetched to buy a large bird of paradise for the decor of my little girl’s Moana themed birthday party, do you? Like it needs some sort of tropical plant decor haha. And then win win right? Lol, asking for a friend 😂😬
Happy Holidays everyone. I have a question. This plant was labeled by Planta as a Yellowood Pepper Tree. At looking at photos of that kind of plant my plant looks nothing like them. I’m asking cause today was watering day and I’m so glad cause for the first time, plant is 5+ years old the leaves were drooping and yellowing and it was sooo bone dry. Planta has told me to water every 25 days this time of year and now I’m wondering if the care schedule is based on the wrong plant. Any suggestions and help will be much appreciated.
My new beauties!! So excited. I am a newer plant mom though so any tips on how to help these babies live their best lives would be appreciated 😊

So I have a quick question. It’s been awhile since I took care of plants. I transplanted all of my plants this last summer. They all now have roots coming out of the bottom of the pots. Should I repot? Went from 4” nursery pots to 6” pots.
I just got this pretty girl. New here any advice Is appreciated
Any tips on my polka dot plant? She started out with very pretty leaves, but then I found the tips of some leaves were turning brown, and eventually fell off… or I picked them off! What are the secrets to raising a healthy and happy polka dot plant? TIA… 🤗💚🪴 PS. Those pics are various stages of my plant as she is trying to survive. The one of her sitting on white was taken after I lopped off all of her stems, and she started regrowing. However, I’m starting to notice that a number of her leaves have those brown tips, again…???
