hiiii plant community! 🩷🌟 my partner had recently gifted me a plant for Valentine’s Day. I was wondering if any of you know what kind of plant this might be?
Does anyone here use self‑watering pots? I’m trying to figure out which plants actually do well in them. Are there any plants you wouldn’t put in a self‑watering setup? I’m still pretty new to all this and apparently I’m an over‑waterer, so I’m trying to learn before I accidentally drown everything. 😬
Hey y’all, is the ice cube method for orchids the best way to water them? My boyfriend got me his for Valentine’s Day. I just repotted it because the roots were INSANE and growing out of the pot like crazy. I got a ceramic pot with holes all over the sides and bottom so it can breathe and used orchid bark potting mix. You can still see the wild roots sticking out, they were growing upward so it was hard to get them all in the pot!
Why is she like this all the sudden???,
Time for another throwback Thursday! Let's see some glow-ups 😍
Hey everyone, my 7-year old peperomia is flowering like CRAZY! Flowers are typically rare on a peperomia.
My plant (first) and a Facebook video (middle). Do I just need to get a bigger pot? 😂 She’s definitely come a long way already from brand new (last photo 2023) but I wouldn’t mind the hugemongous one.
Just wanted to show the progress again. It been a week since my last post and this is how it has changed. I love how it's doing and hope you all enjoy it too.
My wonderful start to a plant wall! (The picture cuts off a little)
I recently got a Monstera Standleyana Albo, but its not very variegated, is there any way to bring out more white in the leaves?
My husband bought me this plant he said it’s a tulip but it looks more like a snake plant. When I looked it up on Google is a snake plant on my plant app is a snake plant what do you all think?
I have Jungle Flame Maui Red Ixora plants but I’m not sure why their leaves look like this and keep dropping. One seems to be doing much better, but I keep up with all 3 the same. I don’t know what it could be either, though I suspect alkaline soil. Help please!!! We’ve had them a few months now and I really want them to be pretty again. They were in bad shape when we got them, we’ve kept them hanging on but now I’m lost
seems to me i’ve been a little obsessed with my melon lately 💚 here’s a now vs. when i first got her comparison :)
Does anyone know what this is? A flower?? With it being February, I’d be surprised if it is a flower. I got this plant a few years ago from a big box store on sale and never knew specifically what it was. Some online research said it might be a Homalomena 'Emerald Gem'.
Me, waiting for my propagations to root.
New pot! I got this plant from my RD back in December

Hello everyone! I was given this dying plant and she didn’t know what it is, I don’t know what it is. Does anyone on here have a general idea of what it might be? Any recommendations on what to do moving forward with it would be greatly appreciated. Some parts of it are better than others, but it’s still green under the brown and it has new leaves coming in.
