Please help what type of plant is this and what kind of care does it need thanks
Can someone help me determine what’s wrong with my Ginny Peperomia? I’ve only had it for a few days. I haven’t watered it because it was sitting in water at the store. What do I do to help it?
Plant meme dump! Needed a late night laugh and thought I’d share it 😂
Philodendron Billie- should I prune or leave this leaf? My plant doesn’t have any pests, roots are good (it is ready for a repot but has to wait until Saturday) and is putting out new growth. All in all it’s generally happy and I am learning! except this leaf. When I bought this plant, this leaf already had the first tear at the top as the original damage and overtime, It is just crumbling. Should I prune the leaf or leave it until it disintegrates on its own? I heard sometimes plants use these dying leaves to help new growth but not sure this leaf is maybe just wasting sunlight lol
What’s a plant you absolutely love, but for some reason can’t get to work out lol mine is rubber trees because every time I’ve gotten one, it comes with spider mites so I’ve sworn them off at this point, and string of turtles because every time I get them, they’re DOA with root rot (I ordered a new one for the third time yesterday🥴🤞)
Hey I just propagated him First propagation that worked 😀 So hard to wait😖
Any expert advice on moving from Texas to Georgia with this guy? Would the best thing be to chop/prop to a more manageable size?
I’ve been holding off on repotting my Fernwood/Mikado snake plant (trying to wait for Spring) but I promised my godson a few of the pups and he’s been asking me nonstop. There’s only so much patience you can expect a six year old to have. 😂 I hadn’t planned to repot, I was just going to wriggle out a few pups to make him a new plant. But then I saw this foam wrapped all around the base of my plant! Imagine my shock. It was so hard to remove - intertwined between every little shoot and so many pups had grown right up into and through it! I’m not mad because this one was from my very favorite and reputable garden and I can see why they did it. The “plant” I purchased was actually multiple plants potted together and the foam helped them grow together in a straight, close grouping. It was a good look. Hopefully, it still grows nicely without the support. In the end, I have a new plant for my godson, my original gal “Franny” and a third Fernwood for a friend. Can’t recommend this plant enough - it wasn’t expensive, pups came out all through winter and it grew quickly. None of my other snake plants grow this quickly. 💚
Hi! I picked this autograph tree up in Lowe’s a week ago. Today, I took out the sponge and found what I think to be root rot. How much of this needs to be cut and how do I treat this?
Hi, new plant enthusiast here — any advice for indoor plants who don’t require lots of direct sunlight? I live in Ireland and our sunny days are few and far between but I don’t want to rely on a grow light as electric is dear.
I was gifted this lovely plant, but what I didn't realize before my husband brought it home, it had been taken out of it's planter placed into a trash bag to keep the soil contained, and then placed in a box. I temporarily have it sitting in/on soil in a large planter but wanted to ask how best to take care of this beauty. Should I cut any of it back? Separate any of it? I want to give it a healthy home so it can thrive, but I am new to taking care of plants in general and also have never had one of these plants. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
What do you guys use for indoor greenhouses for your higher humidity plants? I’m looking into getting one but nothing too expensive lol
I've got a missionary plant that's been sickly for months and I can't figure out what's going on. Any ideas or suggestions?
My Angel Wing has a new leaf on the way coming from the largest leaf which looks a little rough - should I trim that leaf off so the plant can put energy into the new growth or give it some more time to grow before trimming? TIA! ☺️🪴
What’s everyone’s favorite plant tips and tricks they want to share? Doesn’t have to be about anything specific. Just a neat thing you’ve learned along your plant journey that’s helped you a lot! Could be a specific item that you swear by! I think everyone by now knows mine is hydrogen peroxide waterings or banana peel water haha
Look at my cactus corner!!! I am so proud🌵🪴
Hi everybody, I’m looking forward to getting a chunk of common knowledge sent my way today😉 This String of Hearts was on a journey to be repotted. (FYI I am a novice in the plant world) note the whitish round bulb immediately south of the last leaf. What the heck is that thing? Do I need to consult a plastic surgeon? Help a girl out. Thanks!
Can I start a new plant with just the leaf? I know some begonias do but didn't know if I could with this little guy.
my plant dealers are enablers
Just rescued this little guy from a friend and it's not doing very well so I'm going to replant it and trim of any dead roots and leave. Would love to know what it is and the best soil and I will get a smaller pot for it once I take it out and see what size his roots are. There is 2 places on the second picture that look like new leaves are coming but I'm not sure. Thanks for any help
