Any expert advice on moving from Texas to Georgia with this guy? Would the best thing be to chop/prop to a more manageable size?

How many days will your trip be? I moved from Louisiana to Georgia last summer… did the trip in one day and just put all my plants in the cab of the u-haul or in my car (not towed, driven by someone else) so they had acceptable temperature conditions.

I should have clarified.. my concern is it getting broken enroute.. trip won’t be more than a day

The cab is!! Def not the storage part though
0 Me gustaKinda depends on how long of a box you can get. And/or it the vine is loose enough to bend back on itself or circle. I'd personally try to take it whole, and if things went wrong, chop and prop from there. I've gotten some pretty sizeable plants in the mail though. Like 2-3' with no issue

I didn’t even think about getting a box! I will research that.. thanks!
0 Me gustaI’d take a chance too. If there is something secure you can zip tie it to, a tall shelf, a lamp? Then cover it in plastic wrap or cut up a garbage bag. Like Wolfen said, if things go wrong, you can chop it.
2 Me gustaIf i move, I literally pack plants as if I was shipping them. Even if I'm just putting them in the truck. Polyfil, you find it in the craft section, used to fill dolls and pillows, stuff it around the leaves and petioles to give support.
1 me gustaMaybe make a long box from cutting one up and bending. Then you can stuff the top of the pot with something, like newspaper, tape it down to keep the soil from spilling and maybe lay the box down if you have to on top of something secure.
1 me gustaI was thinking the same. Wrap bubble wrap around the entire thing and then put a plastic bag over the pot so you don’t lose soil on the journey. Keeping it in one piece, just lay it on top of boxes or clothes to give it a cushy ride! Good luck!
