Hey everyone! this is a black locust i’ve been growing from a seed for the past 5 months. I went on a trip recently and came back to find this leaf with what looks like slight variegation? this leaf was closest to the window (west facing), I’d love to know if this was something caused by light or genuine variegation!
Myth-busting Monday! What is a myth you believed when you first became a plant parent?
I’m in the Atlanta area and just picked this up at Trader Joe’s. I have unalived several of these in the past. Please advise how to keep alive without brown leaf tips. It was in a 3 in pot, I took it out to water (bone dry) and there was very little soil..all big fat juicy roots, it’s in a 5in pot in potting soil mixed with perlite, coir and orchid bark

Hi friends! I have a question about companion planting. I’m repotting a large Christmas cactus into a pretty new pot, and to give it more visual interest, I’d like to underplant with a few different species. What types of plants would you recommend to pot with a Christmas cactus? Other jungle cacti? Hoya? Lipstick plant? Pothos goes with everything… scindapsus? Bonus too if you’ve potted a Christmas cactus with another species and can tell me about your experience! ☺️
New shoot? I have this growing out of my dieffenbachia pot. I’ve had my plant for about 4.5 years. It’s about 7 feet tall now. But I’ve never had one of these growing out of the pot lol.

What are your recommendations for helping plants climb? I have a monstera and a pink princess I want to get climbing, but I’m trying to figure out how I want to do it. What do you use and what are the pros and cons. I’m trying to make an informed choice before I buy anything. It’s my first time installing anything for a climbing plant.
I need an explanation my jade plant has been with me for so many years and it’s grown so big but now I have a problem I checked its roots recently and it doesn’t really have any roots what makes no sense since it’s perfectly thriving
Hello, would anyone know why my string of hearts keeps dropping leaves and die, but also growing new strings at the same time?? She was super long last year, lost all the leaves so only strings were left. I cut them off, and when I thought she was completely dead, new strings appeared. But now it’s happening again 😢 She gets plenty of indirect daylight, and I tend to not overwater it… Thanks!

I just lost my precious momma last month and this was her favorite plant. So I just joined today to learn about it and do everything I can to keep it alive. I just learned it’s a snake plant.
This is the first time I’ve gotten it to flower!

I just got my first orchid. Anything I should know? Tips or tricks are appreciated! It is root bound and all I have available is tree bark, perlite(maybe), and outdoor plant soil.
Hey! So my friend has a Donkey Tail succulent and it is dying due to overwatering. Its in partial sun, majority shade. She has watered it once a day but only a little bit, sonce that is what the person who sold it to her said it needed. Its in a glass pot and it has no drainage. It needs help!
