There are these little yellow balls in the soil of a couple plants that I have. They just appeared out of nowhere, so I’m worried that it is something that is gonna hurt them. Does anyone know what these are?
I’m new to the plant world. Picked up this pretty little thing today in the Lowe’s clearance section. Looks like a leaf was broken off. Only thing is, I’m not entirely too sure what it is. I’m thinking an alocasia of some kind. Any help would be great!
She’s growing and showing out but she also has some leave that have discoloration and I’m not sure why. Any ideas?
I just got a new baby!!!! She’s called a coin leaf peperomia. Any tips?
Has anyone had the experience of flies-like, common house flies-on their plants? If so, how do I make them go away? I don’t think it can be the soil bc other potted plants outside don’t have this problem. Google only talks about gnats and little bitty flies. They seem to be particularly interested in the sweet william but I also have petunias, polka dot plants, bee blossom and begonia planted in the same pot. I don’t mean a few flies. There are probably 20 flies on each pot! 🤢 Please help!
taking some time to admire my FLF today 🥹
I've decided to try propagating some plants and sell them because I had a drastic income change. Lol. So I did my first three, coleus because they're so easy. But I have no idea how much I should ask for one and also do you think they would sell better if I put pretty stones on the top? I'm thinking Facebook Marketplace.
Hi! As I’ve been a plant parent for a little over a year, 2 of my plants are in need of repotting for the first time. This is kind of a silly question, but does anyone have any tips (or mistakes to avoid) when repotting so as not to shock and kill my plants? Also, how long after repotting do you generally resume fertilizing? Thanks!
I need any and all tips on how to help my African Violet have some flowers 😞 the pics is from 8 days ago. I read to clip the flowers off when they die, and I did, but now I see no evidence of new flowers. She’s in a self watering pot and monitored well. She’s in the corner of a sliding glass door that faces….east? I think lmao
Any ponytail palm experts out there? This is my first. I just inherited this wild girl from a friend! She seems happy, but we’ve got some browning tips. She also looks like she may have outgrown her current pot? Got some roots peeking out the drainage holes 👀 Drop me your best PT palm hacks/advice! 🌴
My two new friends I love the stripes on the philodendron and how dramatic the pink polka can be. Wish us luck!
Just potted up this beauty 😍
Ok so I work at a garden center and met a cute guy what do I say to him and how do I ask for his number also what plants are good for an aquarium? That I can propagate
Anyone know what the issue is with my ash tree?
Hey all! Just here to show off my petunia seedlings🥺🌱 a week ago I thinned them out and repotted them (first pic) and two days later they were looking very sorry for themselves and I thought they wouldn’t make it…(2nd pic) Well, a week later and they’re THRIVING🤩(last pic).. never underestimate the power of plants🌱
Does anyone know of good spider/bug treats for your house that are safe to use around houseplants? And I mean normal spiders. I’ve looked at bug bombs but it says it’s not safe to use around plants. I’m hoping someone has found something good and effective to use! *picture so my post doesn’t get lost
Just repotted my Tradescantia Lilac for the first time! How’s it looking? 👀
I got a $25 greenhouse from lidl, added some shelf liners and grow lights, my plants love it! I also recently repotted all of them into good soil and clear pots.
Hi everyone! So I’m in the Houston area and have an IKEA greenhouse. We were hit with a bad storm Thursday and have been without power since 6:30 that evening and it’s now Saturday. There’s a possibility that power will be out for days so I’m worried about my plants. Should I move them out to my south facing porch for a while to get airflow and light? Or will that shock them even more?
