Hi! Quick question for you all! I’ve had a lot of different kind of plants over the past few years but never a Monstera Deliciosa,love this plant just unsure of the care itself. I recently purchased one at my local florist shop and when I brought it home I saw that a few leaf were half cut off due to what I think too much sun therefor burnt. 3-4 of my leafs look like this, should I cut the whole branche off or should I leave it as is? Any help would be greatly appreciated !!
What do you think is the best plant to have in a bedroom? Curious if any plants are especially good for small rooms.
Is this pot too big for my pothos?
ive seen a bunch of stuff abt pothos helping other plants grow roots n stuff. i was wondering if it was ok to grow them with my hydroponic monstera or if itll be weird for them idk
hello! this is Lana my monstera el salvador who’s roots have grown out of the bottom of her pot!! she definitely needs a repot. this is the first plant i’ve owned that has grown up a piece of wood like this, if i were to swap it out with a larger piece of wood or a trellis would that shock the plant too much? i believe the aerial nodes have grown into it. thanks for reading!
Should I be worried that there isn't enough green on my leaves?
I don’t know if you can see this or not, but last night I was checking this new leaf, the one that’s curled up in the picture, and I felt something STICKY! I haven’t noticed anything sticky, on any of my plants. I wish this were feel-a-vision, because whatever this is, it’s nearly impossible to see, except for the slight shimmer you see on this leaf. I took a really good look, and couldn’t find any kind of pests on any parts of the leaves or petioles, although there was additional stickiness on the petioles themselves. Does anyone know what this stickiness might be? TIA!
Planta is not automatically adjusting schedule. I now have watering and fertilizing on the same day. How do I fix?
I need a list of plants you guys personally hate so i can avoid them, so what has made you struggle the wost? [except FLF's lol]. I went to my home town today and just had a field day repotting my mom's houseplants. I forgot that I hate burros tail sedum with a burning passion while I was repotting 😭. Never again.
Planta says that my pepperomia has medium water needs. Recently, there was a discussion about this type of plant, and the consensus was that they like to be moderately dry before being watered again. This plant has lost several leaves recently, from the bottom, and I am feeling concerned about her; am I overwatering her? Can anyone tell me exactly what percentage of moisture she should be at, before I water her again? TIA!
Finally invested in some fox farm happy frog soil. I spent a huge chunk of today repotting a bunch of stuff! I previously used a compost soil from Walmart and added perlite and worm castings. I couldn’t find it this year and I don’t like miracle grow soil for my house plants. If you have used fox farm soil what did you think? It looks like very nice dirt and I’ve heard many good things about it.

Here in central Missouri it is so windy and there is a chance of tornadoes later tonight and things are flying off porches but anyway my mom has a small glass table on her front porch with a plant on top of it and as we pulled into her driveway we saw the table fly up and hit the concrete on the porch and it shattered and the plant fell and dirt went everywhere, but thankfully I was able to repot it and I think it will be fine now. The chances of it happening as we pulled into the driveway was crazy
Any hints on bringing my shamrock back from hibernation? I’m fearing it not going to come back.
