Today is the day! She is outta control! Well technically “they”. There are at least three plants in here and it’s time to separate them. My patchwork support is looking crazy! So I am upgrading that, too. Wish me luck!

I got this peace lily from my Grandfathers funeral. I have never owned a plant before. Well, it’s not going well. My soil is damp. I water every 7 days. I just put it closer to a window. It’s a very sad plant. Does anyone know what I should do? Also, this week a worm climbed out of it, so I think that may have something to do with it.

Mid-Life Plant Mamma

New to the plant parent life and I’ve decided if this is my mid-life crisis I’ll take it! It all started with Hector. A spider plant cutting I was convinced I would kill. I always joked I had the black thumb of death with plants. Looks like my Great-Grandpas green genes finally kicked in! Hector is 4 now and he’s had plenty of babies I’ve successfully propagated and gifted. He’s now joined by multiple siblings!

My Money tree doesn’t seem to be doing that well. It’s lost quite a bit of leaves, but has new growth. I would like it to fill in more but I am perplexed on how to get it to grow better.

I just got this pothos plant a couple days ago, and I’m wondering the best way to take care of it, especially for watering! I’m almost completely new to gardening, and I’ve heard a couple different recommendations for how to water and I’m not sure which method to use. Method 1: spray bottle + bottom watering when the plant is dry in the top 2 inches Method 2: just bottom watering Question: is it better to water a pothos when it is completely dried out or just the top 2 inches? I’ve heard both.

If your fiddle fig isn’t thriving, don’t be afraid to chop it. I made sure to give her a little extra fertilizer for 2 waterings before i made the chop. It took her a few weeks to show growth but once she did, she exploded. Can’t wait to see how big she will get now! #trusttheprocess

IKEA plant parenting hack here😎 This $5 shoe rack and $5 accompanying tray is the best low cost, low mess apparatus I’ve found for the soak part of the “soak & dry” method for watering cacti/succulents!! it’s huge & the tray catches all of the drippage from the grated rack. the setup is also great for letting the excess water drip out from bottom watering your houseplants! hope this comes in handy!đŸŒżâ™„ïž
