Hello all! I am reaching out because I am a new plant mom. I am filling out each of my plants info in the app, but I’m unsure how to tell what soil is used for any of them. I have bought them second hand or through a nursery so I have no idea what was used. I also have 19 different plants at the moment… Let me know if you have any suggestions or anyway to help me, thank you!!
I was checking my Exotica today to see if she needed to be watered, and when I pulled her out of the cache pot, I noticed all of these dirt filings in the bottom of the pot. I checked for bugs, but couldn’t find anything. This is something I don’t normally see. Any ideas? TIA!
I’m really stressing about this IV. I don’t know what to do. If I’m over watering it under and watering it if it needs more sun this is my favorite favorite plant. I need any and all help please
I picked up this Janet Craig discounted from Lowes 5 days ago. It looked alright, only a couple of spots. They had it in a self watering pot. I've not watered it. I'm assuming it's blackened in the center because over water. As I'm repotting, the roots seem fine. Is there anything else I can do? Is there any hope for it??
Planta says my syngonium is a medium drinker, however, I have heard they like to dry out a bit. Can anyone give me a percentage of dryness in which this plant will optimally thrive? TIA!

So I recently got this plant as a gift and I’ve named her Snakey (thinking she was a snake plant but is really a spider plant… 🤦🏼♀️😂 But I love her all the same). She seems to be falling to one side of her pot consistently. Is this normal or should I be doing anything to support to grow upright? Thanks!
I shared this a few weeks ago, just before flowering. So much flowering!! What should I plan to do when the flowers die off? She started as 2 unhealthy stalks and has been growing great this last year. Should I moss pole her roots?

Anyone have this type of planter? I repotted my plant into this larger pot before I realized this is a self watering planter. It’s a pain to repot and I think I can tip out extra water…but I don’t really know how it works. I can’t detach the bottom reservoir…

I’m thinking about getting a peace lily. I hear they tend to be SOOO dramatic so we’ll probably be besties. Anyway, I’ve heard of semi-hydro-ing them. How do you do that?? Take the plant out and put in water for the rest of forever? Any tips would be great!!
Can we talk about repotting? I’m pretty sure this lovely needs to be repotted and I’m just dreading it. I’m thinking she’s been in this pot about 5 years (?) and is thriving. But also water runs through it. It is a glazed ceramic pot and I’m afraid it’s going to be really hard to do this and keep the pot intact. Any advice?
How do you measure plant size when entering details in Planta? Some plants can easily be measured by how tall it is, but take a pothos for example; mine aren’t tall, but long and lanky.
Hii! I need some help with picking a good fertilizer for all my plants. I have a wide range of plants but mainly concerned about my Alocasias needing fertilizer. I’ve heard good things about worm castings? What do yall recommend? Thanks in advance!! :)
Hi guys! My mom received this plant from my aunt, I really love it but I’m not sure what it is. It looks similar to an alocasia or caladium but I’m not sure. Any thoughts on what this could be?
Ok so….idk why but this plant lately just is not pleaseing to look at, it’s a campfire plant and i got it about 4 mouths ago and now the peddles have just been slowly drooping. Fixable??
Hey everyone! Any idea how to get this little guy more bushy?? There are no more other stems because this was one of the first plants I got so I basically killed the poor thing before I got the hang of caring for plants any advice welcome!
